Question by Vernan: What does it takes to be an inspirational novel?
I have read ‘The Alchemist’ years back and was disappointed with it because it is anti-climactic. But I was impressed and inspired by ‘The Old Man and the Sea’.

That’s too bad; I was going to suggest The Alchemist.

I think an inspirational book needs the right audience to read it. The Alchemist made me look at things in my life differently that I was already wondering about. I have never heard of “The Old Man and the Sea” but I think I’ll look into it. I can always use some good inspiration.
