Question by : Is alchemy real? Like from Fullmetal Alchemist..?
I’ve recently been really into the Fullmetal Alchemist anime.. And I just finished the series.

Is there any way that alchemy is real? Like I feel this is a really stupid question.. but witchcraft and those things are real.. So couldn’t alchemy be real too?

I have no interest in trying to use it or anything.. I’m a Christian.. I was just wondering.

Question by Astone: in real life can alchemy only be used 4 turning stone into gold or can it be used like in Full Metal Alchemist
also/or can you tell me how to BECOME an alchemist?

Best answer:

Answer by bugsie
In real life IF alchemy could be used to turn rock or medal into GOLD, then every one would be an Alchemist.
The truth is that it is a marvelous fable, like Robin Hood, or Atlantis the lost city, or The Holy Grail!
In the 21century, any one can with good grades and the will power go to a private or State University and major in some Chemistry field, this will qualify you to call your self an Alchemist, which is only the mid evil term for Chemist.
I have taken college chemistry courses out of need, I hope if you enjoy chemistry you take them out of want for a better future for you and the people you can potentially help by becoming a chemical engineer or a pharmacist etc.

I’m pretty sure they made all trainers have all patterns for their profession quite a few patches ago. You should be able to go to any tailoring and alchemy trainer to start on 451+.

Question by Kenny777: Does alchemy go against the religious teachings of Christianity?
Something that has been bugging me for a long time is alchemy and Christianity (or Catholicism), as well as magic, since those two kind of fall into the same categories.

Best answer:

Answer by Christy
Alchemy is basically classified as witchcraft by religions similar to Christianity (Judaism, Muslim, etc.) and practicing it does go against some scriptures. In my opinion though, if you were to compare each religion side by side, Wiccan would look like the much more sane religion. Do not worry about such small scripture, just remember Tim 4:10…
