Question by jp917: What does it mean to ask about a college’s curriculum?
I’m sorry, it sounds dumb, but my dad is constantly badgering me to ask about a certain college’s “neuroscience curriculum” and I’m always like, “Okay, okay…” but I guess when it comes down to me actually calling the admissions office, I don’t actually know what it means to ask about the curriculum.

So, my question is: what exactly are aspects of a college’s curriculum that I should know about? What EXACTLY is a “curriculum?” Isn’t it just the way a school bases it’s requirements, classes, and teaching?

It’s all the courses or subjects that you will need to complete as part of a neuroscience degree. It may include field work or internships as well.

He might be asking because some of the courses may have prerequisites i.e a higher level math – which you will need to do in order to get in. Either that or he might want to know which courses are part of the degree in order to decide whether it’s any good.
