Question by Squashed Orange: Was Jesus a mystic? He willed life into people just like a mystic? He told religious mysteries (parables)?

mystic

2. of the nature of or pertaining to mysteries known only to the initiated: mystic rites.
3. of occult character, power, or significance: a mystic formula.
4. of obscure or mysterious character or significance.
5. of or pertaining to mystics or mysticism.
–noun
6. a person who claims to attain, or believes in the possibility of attaining, insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge, as by direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.
7. a person initiated into religious mysteries.

Doesn’t that describe Jesus?

Well, it seems that the Bible miracles aren’t happening, but the transfer of energy among all life is happening. When someone put his hands around my heels once, my heels started to get very warm as if they were on fire. This was about 20 days after Yoga already took the soreness from my legs. The man (healer?) told me my leg just grew out at the same time. That took place at some church service starring Dan Mohler. I didn’t see it grow out, but I also didn’t have a good angle of viewing. What do you think that miracle was? An act of God, of course. But how did it happen is the question. Perhaps it happened the same way that Yoga transfers energy. So is Reiki and miraculous healing the same? Why do I hear all these rumors of different spirits and that even the evil ones can heal? Then is it better to never want to heal people because of the risk that we might just heal by using an evil spirit disguised as an angel of Light? Were the 11 apostles who healed mystics then? Then Paul showed up after the ascension — was he a mystic? A mystic “wills” life back into people and “wills” others to be healed.

I’ve been thinking this question for so long, do other people have a consciousness and mental awareness like I have? I am so worried and afraid that I am the only consciousness existing, if that’s the case, everything’s meaningless and life is just a nightmare.

Question by : religious people. what do you think of this video?

Best answer:

Answer by Me
Not religious, but not a big fan of Carl Sagan either. So much more fascinating information is available to us thanks to recent discoveries in quantum physics, the unified field, and the study of consciousness. It appears that god is being redefined by science as we sit before our computers.

Question by : who r the people in your dreams, that u don’t recognize?
Did your brain randomly create them, or r they someone you past by in your everyday life?
Or is it possible for your brain to randomly create someone in such detail, without the existence
of the manifestation?

I know the question should have been in dreams interpretations, but I also wanted to hear the philosophy view.

Question by : I want to know what people think consciousness is?
Modern science, which by its methods, does not accept metaphysical reality, has yet to define consciousness. Quantum Physics has learned things some of its own researchers admit were part of ancient philosophy. In short, they are confirming metaphysical realities the ancients based their cultures on. But they both get stuck when it comes to consciousness, which was actually admitted by a Quantum Physiscist in the documentary, :What the Bleep Do We Know? Going Down the Rabbit Hole”. Their problem rests in the fact that they are trying to define the reality of consciousness within the parameters of physics. To me, its like scientists buzzing around during a live play, studying the physical nature of the stage props, to try to figure out what the play is about, and what all the movement is. In Ancient Kamitic (Egyptian) Philosophy, Reality, and every and anything in it, cxan be placed into two DUAL categories:
1. Material, which is MATTER (nothing more than dead lifeless building blocks that cant arrange themselves by their own accord), and ENERGY which is a material aspect of movement. Scientists seem to focus on the cMATTER, while quantum physicists focus a little more on the ENERGY aspects. To the ancients, energy moves matter, which dictates how it behaves.
2. NON-Material: Consciousness is NOT material. In fact, the ancients believe that matter and energy were initially FORMLESS realities, like a dead still body of water to put it symbolically. Consciousness initiated movement in the water, this movement being energy, which consequently orders matter to take its various forms. And what does Consciousness, the PASSIVE OBSERVER, move energy with? The second of the non-material realities: WILL.
The process of creation, literally, and in our practical life, is Consciousness orders matter to form or behave by willing energy to move it.
OK, what are your takes on this guys? Scientists? Philosophers? Laypersons (like myself!)?
I like everyones answers. I only have one problem with one of the answers, not as an insult, please. An inspirational speaker Dr. Dwayne Dyer, once said, “Years ago, people would ask a scientist,if he or she believes in God. They answered to them, ‘of course not, I am a scientist’. Now, if you ask a scientist if they believe in God, they more often respond, ‘of course I do, I am a scientist’ “. That isnt a word for word quote from him, but the point is, early in our scientific quest, many scientists set out to disprove all the religious and metaphysical explanaitions of life and the world we live in. to get the objective facts only, to answer all of lifes questions. Now, some scientists are realizing that for the Universe to ‘explode accidentally into existence (The “Big Bang”, that I partially agree with, but wonder where the previously non existent materials came from that reacted to one another to cause this accidental explosion), is kind of full of holes, because there is too much

Question by David: When people merge consciousness with technology what will decommissioning your consciousness feel like?
say you opt to have your consciousness decommissioned for 300 years (say you get sick of it and want a break), what would that period of unconsciousness feel like upon being turned back on? would it feel like you blinked your eyes and opened them a second later(but really 300 years later)? and if alternatively you decided to enter a deep sleep for x years instead would your dream world become more and more realistic defeating the purpose of “taking a break”?

It’s funny, my four year old daughter asked the same thing yesterday. It’s always one of those “Oh no, it’s finally been asked” questions, don’t you find? Well I’ll tell you what I told her: “Stop picking at it, and soon it will heal. Administer the ointment, and be sure not to touch your genitals”, then I whispered in her ear, “That means your downstairsy parts” because I wasn’t sure if she had yet learnt the word genitals.

Question by عاکفه: Where in the brain are religious delusions and other hallucinatory experiences found in mentally ill people?
Be it schizophrenia or bipolar, where in the brain are the religious delusions in mania, etc? Same for other mental disorders where people think they have mystic or psychic powers?

And hallucinations? Where in the brain? And how can we link pyschoanalytic theories of the ego being displaced (Freud) with the neurobiological reality of what happens in the brain with hallucinations?

(I plan on researching this, but for a start, any neurologists out there? I might make an appointment with one).

Religious experiences have been recently linked to the same brain region that involves social intelligence. Which would point to a probable evolutionary explanation for the prevalence of this condition. This does not precisely address your question but may offer you an investigative starting point.
