Question by lomashibal: Do other people have a consciousness like I do?
I’ve been thinking this question for so long, do other people have a consciousness and mental awareness like I have? I am so worried and afraid that I am the only consciousness existing, if that’s the case, everything’s meaningless and life is just a nightmare.
Do other people, you, have a consciousness like I do?

No it may be different. But I on the other hand feel all people are crazy and I am one of the few that sees the truth in lies.
Watch a little too much Matrix, did we? 🙂
You know, you can never really “know” by some peoples definition of knowledge, whether other people are really “there” or just a figment of your imagination.
But even if you think life is a nightmare, well… I never like getting woken-up even during my nightmares. I want to see how they’ll play out.
If you believe it to not be true, no one can question your decision.
How you answer this question psychologically evaluates your degree of altruism since, in the end, we can all ultimately decide that we are all special and unique.
…and in truth, the human condition limits our consciousness to only one (as far as my lifetime pertains me to understand it to be), so why not?
most people have a consciousness but it is only what they perceive it to be. It isn’t what others think. so they probably don’t have one exactly like yours but they do have one.
You’re talking about solipsism. It goes back to Gorgias (sometime in the 4th century BC). A lot of people have tried to take this idea and run with it(or maybe it’s just that you have imagined a lot of people thinking about it). A lot of Rene Descartes work can be adopted by solipsists quite easily. Here is a very good discussion of the subject you can imagine you are having with yourself.

I have one. Clueless about everyone else, but good thing
I’m not alone at this.
of course they do,
thats what makes us humans!
Consciousness is relative to learning, knowledge and experience. While experience, learning are individualistic the knowledge learned and the wisdom gained should reconcile differences of opinions. Many times these conciousnesses are not verbally shared rather they are acted out in social interactions.
