Question by sukuella: I am planning a novella, what do you think of the story?
Its about this 17 year old girl. She and her family have gone through a terrible ordeal, her older sister committed suicide not long ago. The girl, Alexia is under deep depression even though it is time that she moved on, it has been over a year. Her parents decide that she needs to go away for a bit, somewhere that she isnt reminded by her sister. They send her to a remote town to live with a distant aunt. While living there, a travelling circus comes to the area and Alex gets a job with the circus selling popcorn and ushering people to their seats. Its there that she lays her eyes on the illusionist who is with the circus. Through his magic, allure and mystery, Alex experiences a world like she has never known. The illusionist takes Alex under his wing and guides her through her life. She comes to accept her sister’s death and she comes to understand herself and to learn to pick up the pieces.
Its all I have at the moment, I dont know if I’ll add anything else or how it will end. I suppose there will be a tentative romance between Alex and the illusionist but I dont know to what extent it will be.
Its a start. So any suggestions or thoughts?
She has already gotten all the help she can get from psychologists, what she needs is a different kind of therapy, something magical.

What do you think? Answer below!
i think it sounds pretty good
well….. Its original…an i like it…
gd luck carrying it on.
perhaps there shouldn’t be a romance….? but something else… a twist…. but i’m not sure what.
Sounds good 🙂 do you have a title for it yet? She should like, run away with the illusionist (how old is he?) because um the circus owner beats them or something lol is there going to be a second book or something?
so its a travelling circus…just wondering, what happens when the circus travels or she has to go home? do she go? does the illusionist leave? or has she come to accept things and says goodbye to the circus and illusionist and moves on?
also, (i just read a Dicken’s novel, so excuse the insanity) since you said the illusionist is mysterious, maybe he should have a connection to the sister’s suicide or a similar case
Very original!
Genius!
