Question by The Invisible Hand/Illuminati: Is the religion and spirituality section of YA filled with trolls or immature people?
I come to the YA religion and spirituality section just to browse some answers and questions. I notice almost every other question is either just a slam, rant, rave, or a “I’m right your wrong” type. Why all the trolling and inflammatory questions? Some of the questions and answers are just pure laughable.
What’s with all the troll question and answers in religion and spirituality?

There are certainly many people like that.
However, some of us are interested in respectful discussion, even if our views do not agree.

I hope you are ready for a deep answer. I see that same kind of thing in these pages too. Simply some people are not very developed and do not know what life is. There lies your problem. These people who get upset at religion, or spiritual philosophy, are the same as a nomad getting upset when he sees a motor car. People tend to get upset about things they do not understand. Many people cannot understand religion. But there is no reason for us, who do understand, to be upset at them. (I know you are not upset.)
But it has to do with their awareness. I feel there are various levels of awareness such as:
1. Being aware of the physical universe. Insects are likely at this awareness.
2. Awareness of other life. Most animals are at this level. Some people are at it too.
Your dog and cat will be at this level.
3. Being aware that they are aware would be the next level up. This is hard for some people. Because it means they have to also be aware that other people are aware. Most of the trolling is by people who are not at this level. they cannot really grasp that people have feelings like them. They may say they do as a kind of social response, but do they?
4. Then there is the awareness of some extra force of beingness outside from this physical universe. This seems to be top.
Man has not a simple one line answer to where he comes from or what he is. Most people cannot really tell you what life actually is. Do do not expect them to be able to understand someone who is looking for the answer to what is life. They will troll instead.
Trolls are nothing compared to those who make a sport out of unfairly reporting others. Some have gathered together in wolf packs and randomly report others. When we appeal our violation notices, it seems most of our appeals are simply not read, and we usually get a rejection notice. There are a few exceptions. But if R/S falls, it will be because of the unfair reporting.
A Yahoo FYI once said that Yahoo was considering dropping (doing away with the R/S section) because it had too many people reporting other people.
It is only human for a child to disagree with a person or statement that is different from your own views, so not trolling, just human, and not very mature to be harsh of a view different from your own.
