I have read this book, I really found it useful as an introductory book, the way the book is written (Questions and answers) form helped a lot, because it saves your time skimming through the questions and look up the one you want.
I really found this book more useful than peter camble’s one permanent magnets and their applications… This book explains the theory before getting into the applications. This book has a best two chapters about the soft and hard magnets applications.
I also recommend (advances in permanent magnets) as a companion book but make sure you read this book 1st.

This is a good graduate-level text on solid state magnetics and measurement techniques. Measurement techniques, basic theory of magnetics, and more detailed theory of magnetic domains, magnetic circuit analysis, and typical materials are all covered.
