I just started working w/a pendulum and I am not pagan, just a wee bit psychic so can you direct me to a good resource on learning how you call angels to help you in your pendulum workings? My pendulum is nit fancy and nit a Chrystal but when I saw ” him” I fell in love. Weird huh. I thought of buying a more fancy one but I think my pendulum would get jealous, lol. I just got my first pendulum… An amethyst. I used to make them with a pencil suspended by thread when i was little, before i knew what divination was! I always remember to give thanks after i have recieved my answers!
@NIKOOTIQUE the only way you will know is if you try it 🙂 you can make a pendulum with a piece of string and a ring or with any heavy object attached to the bottom xxxx
I would like to believe but im not impressed, is there any way that you might push that string with your finger with ring (dont know that fingers english name)

Even though I am Taoist, not Wiccan, I still believe that a pendulum works and is accurate. I’ve been using mine for about three years (since I got a cheap 7$ one in Salem, Mass), and it has been almost 100% accurate.
Does it work from your subconscious? i’ve heard from some that spirits do the answering.

@bloodmasonful no its not evil but the crystal picks up and absorbs energies around it. the reason for cleansing is to get rid of any other energies it may have absorbed which could hinder the reading. and yes….the spirits do guide the pendulum..who else are you asking for guidance?
or and by the way there are no spirits when using a pendulum
