Question by Jô: Do you think God has caused earthquake in Haiti in reason of voodooism?
The most natural disasters had been in place where people wish strange god such as: Tsunami in 2006 and in Haiti on last january, perhaps the end is coming, people must to accept Jesus, the Cristian’s power is in God who order the elements of nature to destroy everyone who insist on rejecting him.

Before you start assigning attributes to metaphysical creatures you need to first show, prove, or verify that they exist. If you cannot do that then no honest conversation is possible about them and anything that others might say about them is utter nonsense.
It’s a little silly to that. Your god punished your mum by having you though.
i think pat robertson would agree with you
nope and anyone who believes so is nuts…
Who knows? I didn’t send any money to Haiti because they have always had more charitable organizations than any other country and it doesn’t help them to become more economically independent. Much of this problem is because of their voodoo culture that believes that you never plan ahead for anything. The least amount of charity goes to China and they have lifted themselves up economically and the USA borrows money from them.
Retards like you give Christianity a bad name. No wonder their are so many atheist today. Its because of stupid stupid remarks like this.
Amen.
Maybe…
God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and allowed Babylonians to destroy Judea. If God did things like that back then, he still does those things today. However, I do not know if this particular event was initiated by God. With that said, I can only say maybe.
If I recall, God does not change.
Only a sadistic God would create people whom He knew He would destroy in an earthquake.
Good heavens! Where did you get that idea? Two plates deep in the earth moved in opposing ways and that act alone causes earthquakes. It has nothing at all to do with your religion or anyone elses religion.
Give… me… a … break….
Mr. Bible Basher, PLEASE click on this link, and learn why trunamis and earthquakes ocurr where the do.

Ignorance and fanaticism are the true causes of fear and fighting in this world…. Earthquakes for voodo… Good God!!!! :S
Well if it was God who did it he didn’t do a very good job. Most of them survived and are committing worse crimes now than ever before.
Uh no.
The only real explanation for the Earthquake in Haiti is Plate Tectonics (Geology).
voodooism is a peaceful medicine practice which was slandered with propaganda in england and made out to be witch-craft (an entirely european notion) in order to make the african slaves appear uncivilised and so to justify slavery. voodoo dolls with pins in are european the real medicine voodoo dolls are different and are only to symbolically help people.
Plate tectonics caused it. Why do some ignorant Christians always think it has to do with religion?
Well, what about Katrina? What about all of the disasters in America? California? Texas? Arizona wildfires?
Anyway, I do not think a God would be like that. Nobody would learn anything reasonable. It would just raise everyones suspicion about their own beliefs. It would not produce anything fruitful, so what is the point? Then again, what do I know? What do any of us know? If God did something who knows why God did it? Nobody. :/
These things were must come to pass, at times.
Also, what if an enemy asked for this?
2010 + 11 = 2021.
no
I’m haitian. Who knows? It might be a possible cause. Whether God caused it or not it couldn’t happen before Him knowing and allowing it. I have to say that God warned the president to fast before that happened. A haitian woman came from canada went in front of the palace and begged the president. They thought she was crazy.
After a while this happens. I will not quickly say it’s because of that but I believe it has something to do with that because haiti signed a contract to the devil 200 years ago
No. No. No.
Yes and Katrina was because they were Christians-God is pissed.
Um, get your facts straight. 85% of the people in Haiti are Christian, predominantly Roman Catholic.
Techtonic plates, natural earth movements
or that wrathful sadistic tyrant of the OT who thinks it’s ok to kill innocent babies for a laugh as well as other numerous atrocities……
Open your mind!
the Haitians been practicing Voodoo for hundreds of years. but you raise a valid point because nothing was done to San Domingo the country that borders Haiti. We will be feeding and helping Haiti longer then you will live.
It’s another earthquake, there was an increase last year- over 30 world wide in 2009 that were 6.4 or higher. This year is starting out rough
Yahweh God is not interested in our death (Ezekiel 18) but it is an interesting phenomenon that most disasters have happened either in those regions where Yahweh God is not worshiped or when a nation has turned its back to Him… here’s what Scriptures say:
4 And Jesus answered them, ‘Take care that no one deceives you, 5 because many will come using my name and saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for this is something that must happen, but the end will not be yet. 7 For nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All this is only the beginning of the birthpangs. 9 ‘Then you will be handed over to be tortured and put to death; and you will be hated by all nations on account of my name. 10 And then many will fall away; people will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many, 12 and with the increase of lawlessness, love in most people will grow cold; 13 but anyone who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 ‘This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed to the whole world as evidence to the nations. And then the end will come. 15 ‘So when you see the appalling abomination, of which the prophet Daniel spoke, set up in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those in Judaea must escape to the mountains; 17 if anyone is on the housetop, he must not come down to collect his belongings from the house; 18 if anyone is in the fields, he must not turn back to fetch his cloak. 19 Alas for those with child, or with babies at the breast, when those days come! 20 Pray that you will not have to make your escape in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unparalleled since the world began, and such as will never be again. 22 And if that time had not been shortened, no human being would have survived; but shortened that time shall be, for the sake of those who are chosen. 23 ‘If anyone says to you then, “Look, here is the Christ,” or “Over here,” do not believe it; 24 for false Christs and false prophets will arise and provide great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. 25 Look! I have given you warning. (Matthew 24:4-25)
Interestingly enough, it is for sake of the Believers that nature will be held back so that not everything will happen all at once and everywhere!
I would watch out for yourself. If God is giving out natural disasters for sinning, well something is probably coming your way very soon.
No, the earthquake in Haiti was no different than the other high magnitude earthquakes that happen in other parts of the world. California frequently (relatively speaking) has 6.5-7 magnitude earthquakes, yet the death toll is only between 100 and 200. The reason that 200,000 people in Haiti died instead of only 200 is the greed of the Haiti government and construction industry. Instead of constructing quality buildings and following building safety codes, buildings were construction at as low cost as possible to maximize profits. When buildings are built properly, people don’t die. In 1989, a 7.0 earthquake in California killed only 63 people. That’s 0.0315% as many people as died in Haiti from the same magnitude of earthquake.

People will always try and find a way to blame God for the bad things that happen in their lives, even when it was in fact their own fault. Granted, there are occasionally things that happen that no one is responsible, but in the vast majority of situations some person somewhere is responsible. People never learn to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions. The vast majority of bad things in your life are you own fault, and the few exceptions belong to the people around you. Stop blaming God for the decisions you made.
