The Necromancers theme from Heroes of might and magic II. Okay, so there’s been a lot of “This is not the necromancers theme!”-bitching, so for the last friggin time, yes It is, If you play the game on the “Stereo with opera” audio setting, it may differ if you use the “Stereo” or “Midi”-settings.

sexy track! especially original.
you should really check out “A state of trance 285”. it’s the third song on that mix and it’s by far the best remix of this great tune. cheers!
Original Mix nice too 🙂

first time i listened to it : feb 07
still a fav of mine, awesome track
<3
another good mix by probspot
@Nefus2 Yea this is the warlock theme.
This was the Necromancer’s Theme in my game, too. So nyah.
Awesome upload TY. Love the necro’s theme
This is the Warlock theme but that aside…
This music is great anyways… and so is heroes 2
heroes=EPIC
Indeed, this is the necromancer’s theme. Necromancer and Sorceress, both of them have vocals in theme song. I’m talking about The Succession Wars and about “CD with opera” music setting.
it is impossible to argue that something fits better here or there, but I will argue this: the version of the game that plays the same music in two different castles is ERRONEUS!
thank you!
seriously This is the warlock theme in my version and it fits it perfectly 😀 ^^ this is one of my favo 🙂 Ode to the warlocks ofc
Thing is, is there actually one “right” sequence of music for castles? I remember this as Warlock music as well (I had same version as thegreatNEb, harpsichord=necro). What I recall as the original necro theme became wizard’s theme later on, while wizard’s theme ended up in the knight’s castle 😛
Wierd. Do you remember singing at all from your version? Cause I remember a problem when the game was in midi mode, where most castles switched music. Perhaps that’s what happened to you aswell. 🙂
In that case, a lot of versions have “screwy music”, cause i’m not the only one that remembers this as the necromancer theme. Anyways, like i stated in the video description, it depends on the audio settings.
This is definitely the Warlock castle music. Your version, as has been pointed out, has screwy music.
The Necromancer castle has a slow sinister piece with Harpsicords, tense strings, and NO SINGING…..this is still nice though, but do ur hw
In fact there are like 4 versions of necromancers theme.
This one which i have in my gold adition and its midi version another one (also MP3 and Midi) and there was also one different in demo
Don’t bitch around people! it is the necromancer… set the midi-setting and go in your castle.. you will hear it
warlock…
It’s not the necromancer theme i remember.
Blah!
this game is realy good i just like homm 3 a lil’ bit more
this is warlock theme…. something got messed up in the usa version i think. some of their castles even have same music
@TheHarperad
MIDI theme of the Necromancers Track has been remade into an orchestral song in the HOMM2 expansion pack (Price of Loyalty).
URL to the song:

It’s even more epic (tho not so sinister).
Recently I replaced all my HOMM3/WOG music with HOMM2 music mixed with POL songs.
I just happen to love HOMM2 orchestral pieces more than the more atmospheric HOMM3 stuff.
this the warlock theme not the necromancers.
Ahh that’s why I didn’t recognize it! I have the Price of Loyalty version. I must say I do prefer mine.
I wish someone had the Necromancer music for the demo version of this game. This is really good, I just feel the music for everyone in the demo felt more right. I think very few people here have heard it. (in the demo it sounded like the Barbarian theme but much more sombre and evil sounding)
Try midi shrine.
Aha! I see it posted in the Video Responses.
