There is NOTHING good about voodoo. It’s witchcraft. And as far as the Roman Catholics are concerned:
Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you(Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, preach His good news, die on the cross for yous sins, arose on the 3rd day, and ascended back into heaven and is seated at the right hand for God the Father), let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

Protestants take more of a stand against pagan-ism.
Catholicism is less stringent.
Protestants are against it because protestants have a more stricter interpretation of the Bible and the scripture. They’re vehemently against any type of spiritism, whether that be voodoo, or whatever.
Roman Catholicism is also strictly against the practise of voodoo, but the church in Haiti and many 3rd world countries is corrupt and not as puritanical as the Protestant denominations. Church attendance isnt mandatory so many people in the countryside will go to the catholic (and this is true for protestants as well) churches for things like baptisms, funerals, etc, but for other things they’ll use voodoo.
And this is by no means a catholic or protestant thing. Many people in BOTH religious groups practise voodoo on the side while at the same time worshiping the Christian God. Its not necessarily a BAD ting, since religion in any case can either be used for good or for bad. But to say that Protestants are less likely to be practitioners themselves is incorrect.
Also, many other islands in the caribbean and in Latin America are manly protestant and the traditional African and Indigenous Native religions still thrive. Its a matter of culture really.
good. im glad they are still clinging onto their heritage afterall things that happened to them.
You are grossly misinformed about Catholicism.
