@Sovereign19 gravity was covered in general relativity
Hello, is it possible put a graphic with shielded magnet in one face N-S?
magnetic field = photons.
this video is for elementary school children.
Thanks, it is an easy and concrete explanation 🙂
@myqueenmia08 I’m glad she found the video helpful, and thank you for the kind word.
great vid my daughter got an a on the science fiar project your my daughter’s hero thx alot
whats bewteen the north and sout ? in the exact middle ? are these fields static or in constant motion ? thats what i’d like to know and not only me but the students of the world .
Yes, that is where magnetization can be found and measured, however, we do not know what it is. What is the effect? Explanation of Electron magnetic dipole moment sheds no light on “force at a distance”. It could be anything. Until we know what light is we are in the dark. It could be anything. We don’t even know really what a neutrino is and some neutrinos have mass. At least that is something to work with. Electromagnetism? How do you analyze something that has no significant substance?
@Sovereign19 i was just telling this to my friend the other day.
@dropintheforest “In magnetic materials, sources of magnetization are the electrons’ orbital angular motion around the nucleus, and the electrons’ intrinsic magnetic moment (see Electron magnetic dipole moment)”
Go read wikipedia.
No one knows how a magnet causes other objects to fall toward or away. It is an unknown. Gaps in the unknown are sometimes called magic (see “god of the gaps”), but that is because we have not yet discovered how things work. The diagram by dcolarusso (our host here on UT) is an excellent diagram of how metal filings or a compass react to electromagnetic radiation at various locations surrounding the magnet or electrified coil of wire. All EM travels in straight lines and not curved lines.
what is the megnatic field
I really appreciate your videos. Thanks!
Thanks a lot!!
i didint understand that in years but now i understand. thanks a lot
I invented a breakthrough source of energy that contradicts the law of conservation of energy. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena that contradict the law of conservation of energy. I am looking for $6M for a prototype and patents.

There is a magnetic field all around us every second, so yes.
What are these “lines?”
Where do they come from?
@slimshadyrapper8I
don’t know if my post got posted but, the magnetic field is a region around a magnetic material where the force of magnetism acts. To think on a larger scale think of the planets and their magnetic pull. Research general relativity.
field lines don’t have a start and an end.
Magnetic fields surround magnetic materials and electric currents and are detected by the force they exert on other magnetic materials and moving electric charges. Basicly, a region where the force of magnetism acts. The magnetic and electric fields can be thought of as two faces of the same force, which in turn result in the electromagnetic field. The magnetic field isn’t all that important by itself.
CAN WIFI WORK IN A MAGNETIC FIELD.
To date, all of these things we have been talking about are descriptions of the same thing, namely light radiation and other non-particle radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum. The field, flux or lines of force are simply the electromagnetic radiation intensity at points near the object in question. If you move your hand around a hot object, such as a candle flame, the pain will prevent you from getting too close. Thus your hand movement around the object traces a false “field” pattern.
im sorry im a 9th grader but im really into science and stuff . i still dont get what a magnetic field is
A “visualized Idea” doesn’t tell us what magnetic flux is. This vid fails. Kinda like defining “time” by pointing to a clock…..it doesn’t work either.
@jesusofgod1 he is a genius at teaching that is for sure…
@josecitomadera wtf? Europe is bankrupt? oh my god! no one knows that here in my country, Portugal… i am glad you americans know all, with your bank and economic crisis you extended to the world
@mrbirdonastick WHY? So how would that make you so much better getting into MIT?
@spartan7777777 Europe is bankrupt. You guys didn’t learn basic math it seems.
wtf i learned all that in highschool in europe at the age of 16 wtf
@skyfaze maybe it’s chalk with a small vibrating motor and a small battery to power it? Of a device that holds chalk which does that? I was wondering too, and the economics of supply and demand on such a device 🙂
what he is teaching is genius but the concepts are pre discovered by the founders of these concepts and those people are the true geniuses to be a true genius by definition a man must develop a truly original concept
man i wish i could get into MIT
thanks for the vid
I love this guy
haha was thinking the same thing!
@Superunknownful @Superunknownful you moron…go read the definition of genius….he is a good teacher but in no way a genius.
@snoopdogsballs yeah high school physics is a brain buster…
this guy is a genius nuff’ said
i’ll finish high school this june, and i’ll be free to watch to ALL these lectures 😀
i’m soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited =D
😉
Sigh, I’ve watched 10 minutes and this stuff is ridiculously, concise comprehendible.
I had expected my brain to blow up.
Fascinating 😉
22:54 “i’m going to beat you with cat fur”
@TabletAether OK OK HE’s dutch you don’t have to repeat it!!!
What is the name of the book?
Very easy to understand, amazing prof.
Nice, they got the captions working! =D
@girocraz He’s Dutch
@girocraz He’s Dutch!
Is Walter Lewin British? I don’t think he’s american… ( Well anyway hes still the best)
