I want to like the guy, but dude is creepy. I’m gonna go ahead and read Trance-Formations anyway because I enjoy the beginning and I believe I will learn something extremely valuable from it. It’s just a little frustrating to watch videos of Bandler and Grinder and other NLP-ers who come across as so stilted and contrived in their actions and words — because I want to be captivated by them and have a sense of trust, not just feel their manipulative. I see little peace of mind in them.

I do love Bandler and Grinder’s Structure of Magic II and Bandler’s Magic in Action but Erickson had such an incredibly integrated system, that I don’t know how anyone could follow in his footsteps. BUT Bandler and Grinder had a natural interest prior to meeting Erickson and luckily they carry on an incredible science.

Bandler was fortunate he got training from one of the greats. Erickson was literally one of the most progressive minds in hypnosis that we’ve ever seen. Bandler’s synthesis of his ideas are interesting, albeit I believed not a true continuation of the spirit of Erickson. Bandler hits it close, but not on the mark. I wouldn’t consider him the next scion of hypnosis.

@BOULDERDP Fair enough. I am Canadian born, and I am an American citizen.
I once thought a guy I worked with was Canadian, but he was from a town very close to Canada, so it was understandable. Some people are very obvious. There is also the way some Anglo-Canadians use their vowels like the o in the word cop
at 1:08. Also listen at 3:44 or so when he says bull it is not very American. As I said, it’s very subtle. I lived in both countries and sometimes hear it when it’s typical for me
@QUINTUSMAXIMUS Interesting. I always wondered about this cause I am from Ontario and usually cannot tell the difference when I go to Detroit and even down into Ohio. But then Georgia etc down to Florida becomes more obvious.
@BOULDERDP I can tell the difference. It’s kind of subtle. Canadian English has more differences than say “eh”. Some people say “mum” instead of mom. Some say again differently and also about. It is similar, though, to American accents found in places like Iowa, Minnesota. I can often tell someone is Canadian, but in some cases the person could live on the border. It depends how obvious of an accent it is. I can hear the difference.

@MishuTaste You dont get the trick 😛 you have to be sure about your self and KNOW that she cant without you first convince you than you go out try to convince other people if you are not 100 sure it is like that or you need to be 100 sure you can talk her into this it startes with you and goes on with others later… and dont do that to other people you will see even if you got her to do so you will not experience pleasure from it! if you just wanna do her thats something else…
