Merkaba Mysticism

While some religious people think that some of the things that scientists are predicting about 2012 are a bit off the charts, they have no problem in believing that the Bible is literal- even that crazy Old Testament prophet Ezekiel. Who can comprehend even the first chapter of Ezekiel, especially verses 4-26? Some Torah scholars have had great cocnerns that misunderstanding these passages as literal decriptions of God’s image might lead to blasphemy and thus merkaba mysticism was limited to the very enlightened.

There was great opposition to studying this area of the Bible without the proper initiation. Jewish commentaries emphasize that the imagery of the Merkaba is not meant to be taken literally; rather the chariot and its accompanying angels are analogies for the various ways that God reveals Himself in this world.

As we move to an increased consciousness, especially between now and 2012, more and more people are tuning in to this ancient form of merkaba meditation. An excellent book would be Pyramids Of Light by Meg Blackburn Losey.

Merkaba is the activation of the “lightbody” vehicle. Everybody has various energy fields around their body. Merkaba activation techniques use intention to create a vehicle based on a sacred geometry design. The main purpose is to bring you to higher states of consciousness and awareness to fully embody the energy of unconditional love. Unconditional love is not an emotion, but a state of being.

The simplicity of the nature of creation is unconditional love!

In Hebrew mysticism, the merkabah was the chariot of light that Elijah ascended into heaven. It was described as a “whirlwind of fire.” What was so special about this whirlwind? The Hebrew letters that spell the word Merkaba are Mem-Resh-Caph-Beth, from the root word Resh-Caph-Beth, meaning “to ride.” The root words the same as the root word for “cherub” a form of angel, for angels were believed to have these chariots of light to travel dimensions.

Jesus is the LIGHT!

Some see Merkaba mysticism as a form of astral travel, or total body travel. Is this how Enoch and Elijah escaped this earth without death as we know it? Is this how Philip moved from one place to another? Is this how Jesus ASCENDED?

How did the Mayans know so much about our solar system, galaxy and universe thousands of years before we just recently discovered black holes and other “out there” phenomomen. Was it astral travel? Is that too far out for your mind to conceive? Obviously the egoic mind doesn’t want to admit it doesn’t know anything.
