@oldtintoys This was filmed quite some time ago. Charlotte does not have quite the same figure now, and high heels would get in the way of performing this trick properly.

@blizz3166 That is not really his assistant; she is a full partner and is (still, technically anyway) his wife. Anyway, this trick obviously is not done as is explained in some textbooks (the Bess and Harry Houdini version)- there simply is not enough time between him (re) appearing and her to disappear. The cloth disappears in less than a second; she simply does not have enough time to simply drop down and disappear as he appears. Think about it! Must be a unique angle to this matter.
