Question by 2887PM: will thierry henry ever win “world player of the year” or the “ballon d’or”?
without a doubt, it is a great mystery how he has never won either of these awards despite being the most consistent player for the past 5 years (20+ goals/season, 3x PFA winner, Golden Boot winner, leading scorer of the french national team). is it a bit too late (or is he too old) to win the awards that have eluded him?

This should be in the soccer section.
But heres an answer anyway – Henry more than deserves it, but as long as players like Ronaldinho get all the attention (and not always rightfully so), it will be very tough for Henry to get it. And as you said, getting older is not going to help at all. Lets see what the EU championship brings.

NO! I think he had his time! He needs to come back at his level!
YEs, he was my best player, he has always been consistent, but he was injured the whole season!
Arsenal is a pretty young good team, aand i can see a bright future for them!
its not basketball. Henry is the greatest soccer player before he was injured.
It is not a mystery! He simply hasnt proved himself in Big matches and in the world cup. He is a choker when it matters most. For example he missed 3 good chances to score in the 2006 CL final against Barcalona! He is virtually non existant when playing in world cups. Dosent influence the game the way Zidane does.
