Question by idlenessss: why does there seem to be a connection between mysticism and martial discipline?
Just a pattern ive noticed…the more mystical branches of various religions also seem to involve some surprisingly pragmatic-minded stuff about the physical body…for example mystical version of budhism and their martial arts, whirling dervishes and their ability to spin for long periords without loss of balance, mystical hinduism and yoga, daoism and (i suppose) resistence to toxins, various mystery cults of the ancient world with their ability to feel no pain as well as (according to reports) control their own bleeding….What is the connection between mysticism and physical conditioning?

All truth is independent in the sphere in which God had placed it, as all intelligence also.

I think, this connection seems to come into play when the being realizes
that the mysticism or the spiritual extreme and the physical extreme or body or conditioning
are actually part and parcel of the one and the same being.
