Question by AlanaWally: What’s the difference between Fullmetal Alchemists and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood?
I’m watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and it looks like some fillers but then there are some new episodes. Is it just another part of Fullmetal Alchemist or is it separate.

As I understand Brotherhood follows the original manga more closely. The first Fullmetal was a lot more original in the storyline.

  1. The two shows are indeed two separate shows. Full metal alchemist is the first show, but the show moved faster than the manga so they just made up the story as they went along.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is true to the manga. Both of them are accurate up to a point but the Fma branches from the manga where FMA:B stays true to the manga. If I’m not mistaken, it splits off right around the chimera alchemist dude, can’t remember for sure.

  2. fullmetal alchemist is more of its original story and it was made first so the 1st movie is a continuation to it and fullmetal alchemist: brother hood follows the manga more. they are both seperate
personally i like the brotherhood more

  3. It is separate.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood follows the manga, and Fullmetal Alchemists doesn’t.
