Hinduism is the oldest still practiced today. But it’s roots go back to Dravidianism which is thousands of years older. But it is most likely some nature religion of ancient man, there just isn’t any written recordings of it.
Hinduism is generally considered to be the oldest religion still being practiced today. This ancient religion was born when the Aryan peoples migrated to Northern India and first put their religious tradition into writing.
The texts they created are the Vedas, which were written around 1,500 B.C.E. (before common era) and have greatly influenced Indian culture ever since.
Honestly i think Taoism precedes hinduism.
but the real answer is probably nature worship, blessing for the rising of the sun and the fruit from the trees
Jews.
islam is the oldest but it just wasn’t called islam and it was practiced differently by people. Each of the prophets taught little by little,
The oldest religion goes beyond what Google can find. It pre-dates anything else, and it is when God created the heavens and the earth. It predates people, it predates the earth. God went on to say “Let there be light”, and after He created Adam in His own image, God and Adam walked and talked together in the cool of the evening. You really can’t get older than that.
hinduism
still pending
but its not judaism, islam or christianity thats all i know
junk food?
Some kind of ancestor worship and/or animism/shamanism. The truth is we will probably never know the exact details, but if you study anthropology and psychology, you can piece together the common roots of religious thought you will see how all relions evolved from the early ones.
I think the oldest religious symbol found to date was a representation of some kind of ‘python’ deity, in Botswana. (70,000 years old)
Animalists is the oldest———-and probably still practiced in some very isolated cultures.
Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world. Recorded history dates to 300,000 years ago. Western society finds it hard to believe it, due to lack of archeological evidence.
Hindus cremate (burn) their dead and as such, no archeological evidence is possible. This practice has’nt changed for thousands of centuries. Our most recent history is about two kingdoms that were in vogue 5,000 years ago. Krishna was the king to one of such kingdoms.
I converted from Islam to hinduism for one simple reason, if you study hinduism, questions such as ‘who am I?’, ‘what is my purpose in life?’ simply vanish away. Hindiusm reveals them to you in an easy to comprehend and a profound manner.
Animism, without a doubt.
It’s not completely dead yet but its Christian and Muslim neighbors continue to do their best to change that.
Hinduism is the oldest surviving major religion.
But we cannot know what the oldest religion was. I think probably even the earliest people had different ideas.
The one that man can not discover alone…
but is reveled to man within the absolute aspect of Him/Her self….By the Cause of all these effects.
