Question by .:Nicole:.: What is the difference between a major in cognitive science and one in neuroscience?
As I fill out my college applications, I’m not sure whether to specify my interest in pursuing a neuroscience major, or one in cognitive science.
I mean to study the brain, and how outside situations affect the way people think and develop. Which is more applicable?

Neuroscience sounds like what you are going after…maybe you even want psychology here.

Cognitive science is more about artificial intelligence than the actual biological/psychological aspects.

EDIT: It’s basically like designing systems that can make their own decisions, it kinda relates to computer science.
