its sad because mankind is smart enough to build race destroying nuclear weapons & yet are we smart enough not to use them? but then why would we have the need to build them? -ME (thats how i translated it anyways)

@Gamer2k4 I have always enjoyed VNV Nation, but had never listened to this song. It reminds me of how I felt when one of my close friends took his own life. Its says everything that was running through my head when I found out he was gone. Years later it still hurts, not as it did then, but as it always will (one never understands and always questions what if I would have been there) Thank you for posting the song, I hope your relevant situation has some joy in it or at least is not tragic.

Having your own opinion is awesome.
I personally really like this song. But if someone else doesn’t, let them. Don’t push your ideas on anyone.
Listening to these words do you really think it’s the right thing to do?

Exactly at the moment when I was listening to this track, a person showed me his true face. A part of me died.

His voice is almost completely off beat with the music; I’m sorry, but it just weakens the song and I feel like I’m forcing myself to like it because of how off rhythm his verses are; his voice and this music just doesn’t match. Luckily the great lyrics are what save it.

I’m no VNV fan, but this is a good song. Unfortunately I can’t stand it. In my mind, it will always be related to the videos on the S.O.P.H.I.E. Lancaster Foundation Myspace page. For those who don’t know, Sophie was a 20 year old young woman who was kicked to death just because she dressed differently, because she wasn’t ashamed to be herself. She was a beautiful and by all accounts kind young woman who was brutally murdered.
