Question by Little Red Riding Hood: In my dream me and my friend were shot in a mass shooting and then each one had a label with a number on it.?
I was number 16 and my friend was 17.It was like numbers showing the order in which we got shot and everyone had one.I had still consciousness but I felt I would soon pass out from blood loss. How should I interpret this?

Whether you saw it, heard it, or used it, any type of gun featured in your dream forecasts an injustice, either to you or to someone in your close circle, which you will have to fight hard to overcome. If you were hit buy a bullet, you’d better have a medical check-up. (if that part stood out in your dream) To remember numbers in your dream forecasts good luck ahead possibly connected with the dreamed number or some derivative or multiple of it.

Question by ipeewhite: What were some of the Drunkest Celebrations or Parties or Festivals of the ancient world that don’t exist?

I’m currently doing a research project on some the craziest parties/celebrations/festivals that took place in ancient history. I’m mainly looking for celebrations that don’t exist anymore. So celebrations that have stood the test of time and are currently celebrated today isn’t the focus. I have done tones of research online and can’t seem to come up with much. A few examples of what I have found are: THE CRITIC’S REVENGE Paris, 10 November 1975, NERO’S LAKE OF WINE, THE FEAST OF BEASTS Paris, 31 December 1870.

The crazier the celebration and the more drinking the better.

I know it’s a weird request, but any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Answer by Muinghan Life During Wartime

Greek God Bacchus, god of male fertility, wine, music and ecstatic dance.
Held in secret and attended by women only.
Those who partake in his mysteries are possessed and empowered by the god himself.
His cult was a “cult of the souls”; his maenads feed the dead through blood-offerings, and he acts as a divine communicant between the living and the dead.
The notoriety of these festivals, where many kinds of crimes and political conspiracies were supposed to be planned.
Think drunk, crazy, horny, dancing vampires.
A guy could literally and gladly loose his head at one of these things.

Question by Shannon W: Riddle me this…if we were made by a creator, who created the creator, and who created them, and so on?
I’m torn on this subject. I stand on a line between creation and evolution, often opting for a blend of the two. Its a bit of a paradox for me. I have a hard time believing that we evolved from microorganisms, but then there’s this creator question. At some point you have to say that something came from nothing, and its very trying going round and round in this circle. Your thoughts?
Please no nasty comments from you antireligious folks, I consider myself agnostic for the time being, with no formal religion, and I don’t need anyone to try to prove anything to me, so keep your nasty comments to yourself please.
All you open-minded folks, please share your thoughts.
thank you all for your great answers!!!

Question by Artisticat: If a NECROMANCER were real, or even asking about them in books and games, what GOOD could they bring?
I’ve only read of the destruction they can bring, and I am unsure if there is any good that could come from necromancy.
Xenon and Romantic… That’s not exactly answering the question. You fail. :( Thanks though.

Best answer:

Answer by XenonVortex BlackOp Death Eater
Usually they’re portrayed as evil sorcerers who do all kinds of creepy dark magic like raising dead corpses and that sort of stuff. By definition, a necromancer is usually involved in dark magic, so I’m not sure how there could be a “good” necromancer.

Oh really? Well, then excuse me, I’ll try again if that wasn’t good enough. All I’m saying is that it’s described as the “blackest of black arts”, so nothing good would really come out of it. Unless, they summon spirits to give messages to people. And to be fair to Romantic and I, your question is kind of confusing. Not all necromancers are destructive, some of them make a profession out of communicating with summoned spirits and that sort of thing.

Question by Jason Owen: What if consciousness and energy were actually just different terms to describe the same thing?
(This was originally intended to be an answer to a question which was removed before I could post)

In that case, the religious and non-religious could both be right. It’s a theory which is growing in popularity that reality is just as beauty; in the eye of the beholder. In the case of religion, there are plenty of valid arguments for and against the possibility or likelihood of a supreme god.

Whether or not the energy (or consciousness) is infinite or not is an interesting question, but ultimately irrelevant, no?

Good question,u need to a have a deeper enquiry into it

Every morning and night go into silence or deep meditation, for meditation is the only way to discriminate between truth and error.

Paramahansa Yogananda
Some like to believe that there are over hundred techniques of meditation; each lingering at a different level, each manifesting its influence on the consciousness at a different pace.

The world over, many have confused meditation with concentration and relaxation with meditation. Techniques using music, dance, other forms of creative expression, an array of therapies (both physical and mental), have all been synchronised into one basket – Meditation!

But truly speaking, many of these work more at the intellectual level while others are only channels for relaxation and prepare you for the more serious stages of true meditation. From the point of view of the advanced Yogis, meditation really is a scientific technique for communion with God, and is the seventh step (dhyanai) in Patanjali’s eightfold path. To a host of new age and other spiritualists, however, techniques that encourage you to manifest mindfulness and be aware also fall under the gamut of meditation.

Meditation when done scientifically draws back into the central part of our body the spine and the brain the life current distributed throughout the various organs of the body, thereby magnetising these two very central parts (spine and brain) which in the astral body are also home to the seven chakras…ultimately leading the distributed energy back to their original centers of distribution. This really results in one experiencing oneself as Light. It is in this state that one’s physical self, consciously manages to free itself from the chords of its bodily and mental distractions.

Amidst the varying opinions and tastes, not to forget the pressures of modern day living and the multitude of diverse inner personalities cum spiritual interests, it might only seem prudent to encourage individuals to choose that form of meditation which seems appropriate to their own nature, feelings, and the goal they really seek to attain from their spiritual practices. Apropos, there are Hindu techniques, Buddhist techniques, techniques from other religions, and even those that do not belong to any religion in particular. We thus can also seem to have one or more universal forms of meditation.

Just as one moves from kindergarten to school to college to a Bachelor’s level and then onward, perhaps, to a post-graduate platform, so too in the realm of spiritual practices each one of us is drawn to and imbues practices and techniques as may be appropriate to our inner development. This is why some persons indulge in worship of deities, some prefer to seek God through mantra practices, and many others believe in relating with the formless One.

In the initial search one may be initiated into the path through the medium of simple techniques relating to meditation on objects, images, etc., but as one genuinely progresses and ardently calls out to the Divine to reveal Itself, one is definitely guided on to the one right approach as may behove one’s current spiritual personality.

Dear one, whatever be the technique that you practice, seek to do it in wisdom and with an understanding of the science behind your physical and subtle (energy) bodies. The benefits of all activity done with the intention of freeing the soul from bondage are manifold, and anything done with awareness and attention will only nurture deeper and faster success.

In our presentation here, we attempt to give credence to the importance of scientific methods in meditation and yet present some more simple techniques for the benefit of a beginner or one not yet wholly groomed on the path. Meditation is for both the atheist and the theist. It is concerned with awakening the realisation of the Self within, and is therefore beneficial to all and sundry

Question by howlingengines: Is there an accepted agreement on how the egyptian pyramids were built?
What engineering techniques were used to both transport and align the stones.Same question applies to the central and south american ones.

Best answer:

Answer by WOAH, an MMORPG!
Yes. The pyramid blocks were hewn from quarries using stone and copper tools. There are examples of each stage of block extraction at existing ancient quarries. Granite was quarried using pounding stones of dolerite, some of which have been found laying about the quarries. The blocks were transported to the pyramid site from remote quarries using barges, and from local quarries using wooden sleds. The Egyptians did not use the wheel during the Pyramid Age, an invention that would have been of limited used on softer ground under heavy loads. The sleds were dragged manually, sometimes with the help of beasts of burden, over smoothed roads. Some of the existing pathways were equipped with transverse wooden beams to lend support to the sled. A lubricant may have been poured upon the road to reduce friction.

However, a few are still mysteries. One pyramid is built entirely out of limestone and The Pyramid of Giza is the only “Seven Anceient Wonders of the World” that is still standing. You can look it up on Wikipedia.

Hope I helped.
