Question by §Guru Pathik§: What year in college can I take theoretical physics, and how often will I see these words?
Fractal
Consciousness
Lucidity
Einstein’s outlook on “Reality”
“The Measurement Problem”
Meditation
Spirituality
We are all one
Life greatest illusion-separation and self
Sacred Geometry
Fibonacci
Da Vinci
Platonism
Astral Projection
Metaphsyics
“Junk DNA”
9 dimensions
11 dimensions
Quatum
Metaphysics

ODU, is where I’m going , And I’m 17, if that’s relevant.

BQ: If I take theology, ( if you can’t tell I like learning about this stuff) will it be like the Religion and Spirituality( constant calling out and arguing), more than likely a theology professor would be an atheist right? ( I’d prefer to get a professor like Alan Watts ) Would he call me out if he found out I wasn’t atheist? I’m not a fundamental theist , but would I be stuck in a room full of atheists? I have atheist friends , but I’d hate to have to be silent just to avoid arguing.

Or opposite, would I get a religious teacher who would call me out for not being a fundamental theist?

BQ 2 : Which Could I take further ?
A: Major: Engineering, Minor: Theoretical physics
B: Major: Theoretical physics Minor: Engineering

BQ 3: Based of the list of words , what classes should I take?

BQ 4: As I said I’m 17, I was very passive in primary and secondary schools ( I’m really smart when I want to be, but if its something I’m not interested in, I’m lazy , and my grades will show) Going through the motions of my high school years I have cumulative 3.4 GPA, but If I didn’t study it or were apathetic about it in high school, would I be a complete noob in theoretical physics and quatum physics?.

When I was younger I had no interest in most school subjects whatsoever , but now I do.
Ok, thanks I probably was confused by some words of Michio Kaku pertaining to theoretical physics and Spinoza.

If choosing to go with either a major in Engineering or TP, I would suggest you take Engineering. The marketability and demand of just about any engineering degree is already known to be higher than average, where as TP is a bit more obscure as it is based around theory.

Once you are in college, you can no longer have the mindset of “well this is boring!” and tune out like you can in most of high school. If you are taking on a degree in any engineering, which is widely known to be very math-intense and demanding of your attention, you will need to be “interested” or you WILL fall behind. And as a previous engineering student I can assure you, you will have lecture upon lecture about subjects which will NOT peak any of your interests unless you are oddly passionate about calculus limits, derivatives, or the diameter of a sewage pipe.
I have no idea about your questions about that list of what I assume to be your interests.
Good luck in school.

Question by Automaton: A mystery! What are these spiritual early Christain quotes all esoterically referring to about male/female?
2 Clement, “Let us expect, therefore, hour by hour, the kingdom of God in love and righteousness, since we know not the day of the appearing of God. For the Lord Himself, being asked by one when His kingdom would come, replied, ‘When two shall be one, that which is without as that which is within, and the male with the female, neither male nor female.’”

“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become *one flesh*” (Gen 2:23-24)

“Great is the mystery of marriage! For without it, the world would not exist” (Phillip Gospel).

106. Jesus said, “When you make the two into one, you will become children of Adam, and when you say, ‘Mountain, move from here!’ it will move.” (Thomas Gospel)

“When Eve was still with Adam, death did not exist. When she was separated from him, death came into being. If he enters again and attains his former self, death will be no more.” (Phillip Gospel)

Apply it within. Thoughts?

- Shalom.
“If the woman had not separated from the man, she should not die with the man. His separation became the beginning of death. Because of this, Christ came to repair the separation, which was from the beginning, and again unite the two, and to give life to those who died as a result of the separation, and unite them. But the woman is united to her husband in the bridal chamber. Indeed, those who have united in the bridal chamber will no longer be separated. Thus Eve separated from Adam because it was not in the bridal chamber that she united with him.” (Phillip Gospel)
22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, “These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father’s) kingdom.”
They said to him, “Then shall we enter the (Father’s) kingdom as babies?”
Jesus said to them, “When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom].” (Thomas Gospel)

This Tantra was/is practiced and with great results as it deals with the powerful sex drive. The female/male with their union achieve oneness with the divine nature of both, very blissful, it is hard to describe but can and is experienced by those who are ready. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. What is very sad is that the Goddess has been almost destroyed by western religions and in order for this Tantra the female *must* be worshiped by the male in their union, this is the fail safe for she holds the serpent power {Kundalini} at her base Chakra. She is the Sun and the man is the Moon, reflecting her energy through himself and back to her. Thank you for the question.

EDIT: Those adds over there on the right really crack me up. LOL

EDIT: #2 What I am speaking of is not intellectual, it is not thinking the 2 are 1, look around with your own eyes, what do you see? It is experienced and experienced very fast on this path, it can only be taught from an experienced female to a male or an experienced male to a female. All the books and ideas are almost worthless until after one has experienced this path and it has very much to do with sexuality. It must be experienced with the skin, flesh, bones and marrow.

Question by St. Toad: Which of these Spiritual Views is most accurate to you?
A. Reality is a canvas and each of us is a painter. The Divine conforms to the ideas we put out into the universe. As a result, all religious and spiritual ideas are true and valid.
B. Reality does not meet our expectations and we must discover what is true or false about our spiritual ideas.

Best answer:

Answer by Gemma
A. Why? Because except for the “Divine” part, all of Choice A has already been proven by quantum physics. Every person literally and physically creates their reality with their thoughts and emotions. Without consciousness, there is no reality.

Question by Reincarnation is a fact: Have you read any of these paranormal books?
RANDI’S PRIZE: What sceptics say about the paranormal, why they are wrong and why it matters
Science and the Afterlife Experience: Evidence for the Immortality of Consciousness
The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal Is Bringing Science and Spirit
The Reality of ESP: A Physicist’s Proof of Psychic Abilities

I you did, tell me what you think. I’m really considering it!
eri- I disagree. I think a good book can provide evidence of something
If a book is based on FACTS then it can be evidence

Best answer:

Answer by eri
A book isn’t evidence of anything. Anyone can publish a book saying whatever you want. There’s no oversight process to make sure what you’re saying is true. Academic journals have a much higher standard for evidence, which is why you don’t see this stuff showing up in top journals – no one making those claims has the evidence to support them. If those things were real, it would be very easy to prove. No one ever has.

Question by Ben: Out of these four college classes which two are the easiest?
I have to take two lab sciences for my degree. The four sciences are

-Chemistry
-Physics
-Geology
-Biology

I’m probably going to take physics because it’s my favorite. Maybe I could take physics 1 and physics 2 instead of another science. Which two are probably the easiest though out of the four.

Best answer:

Answer by nycole
Are these intro classes? I’ve taken all of these classes and I found geology to be the easiest (but I do love geology so..). I found physics to be the hardest because I took Mechanics in college without ever having taken a physics class before. It was brutal. I’d put chemistry somewhere in the middle. Not too hard, but definitely not a piece of cake. I found it really interesting though (probably my favorite after geology). Biology is just a lot of memorization ( I found bio to be a little boring.. not my thing…). It really depends on you. You say you like physics so maybe you should take physics. Easiness if really subjective. You may find physics easy, I find it hard.. Just depends on the person really.

Question by Young grasshopper: How to not feel bad about getting rid of these clothes?
Hey guys, so my mom is a pretty big pack rat, to the point where I have begun to wonder if she has a very mild case of hoarding (I’m serious. I’m doing neuroscience and you can’t even like walk in her room because there are so many clothes). There are a lot of kids in the family so we have a lot of hand me downs and old clothes, but it has gotten to the point where there are bags and bags of clothes around the house that are literally from 20 years ago that no one fits into anymore or are just so outdated. It has caused a surmount of stress for everyone yet my mom never gets to the clothes. For example back in June we sorted out all these clothes and put them into piles to bring them to Plado’s closet and Once Upon a Child. However, she never just brought them to the places to get rid of them. They were stll sitting there. So today I just went out myself and brought them to the places but neither of them took any of the clothes because they were too worn and outdated. So I ended up donating them in a Salvation Army box and my mom ended up getting really pissed because she said she was going to donate them to another place and get a tax reduction.. I feel really bad about the tax reduction, but at the same time she was NEVER going to get to them. She NEVER does. What do I do? I feel bad we lost the money for the taxes because we don’t have a lot. Please help?? Thanks for answering.

Best answer:

Answer by Mircat
Her anger is just because the clothes are missing period. Has nothing to do with the tax credit and believe me it wouldn’t have been all that much. If you’ve ever watched hoarding then you should recognize these behaviors and if you want it to get done you’re going to have to do it yourselves not wait for her to do it. Suggest she get counseling instead of going through clothes. Just do it for her because she is never going to. She’s a hoarder.

What do you think? Answer below!

Don’t beat up youself. But never again do something to other people’s items (even if it was paid for by your mom). Also, talk to her and ask her how can you make up for it, but don’t let beat you down for long.. just see how it goes

Question by 7: What can you do with degrees in these subjects?
I am trying to find something that I can major in and be employable, while being happy at the same time. I don’t care about money; just that there are careers available to make a living with.

With any of these: (1) I do plan to go to graduate school, but maybe not law or medical school. (2) I am fine with teaching college or any type of school if that is all that is available, but I’m wondering what other careers there are.

The subjects:
Psychology
English
History
Political science
Biology
Neuroscience

Thanks in advance.
