Do you need the will to live to experience consciousness?
I am very specifically talking about all life, not just humans or animals.

Best answer:

Answer by The One
NO. you need awareness. We are conscious throughout before and after death. But awareness only comes when exposed to contrasting qualities that forces your consciousness to react and learn.

Question by ραλπθ: Do you really need to know physics as a computer science major?
Some universities require three calculus based physics and I’m desperately trying to get out of it. UC’s such as UCLA and UC San Diego, gladly berkeley doesn’t so I can still apply there and other UC’s. I’ve taken AP Physics before and the subjects gets really hard after awhile.

What are the pros and cons of not taking physics and just go for the chemistry series? I feel like I have a better chance of getting an ‘A’ in chemistry and be able to maintain a good gpa for berkeley.
i like math and i plan to make up to differential equations. i just dont want to take it same time with calculus based physics. its going to be hard.

Best answer:

Answer by cabbage
you don’t need physics at all, but there’s lots of advanced and different kinds of math in physics. especially calculus based physics, and the broader your knowledge in math is, the better you’ll be as a computer scientist.

Question by Ciaran: Do I need A – level physics for engineering?
Im doing a level next year and I am in two minds on which subjects to study. I have three courses in mind that i would like to study at university, engineering(mechanical or else aerospace), medicine or else computer science. Subjects that I would like to study next year would be maths, chemistry, biology and one other subject(not yet decided). I am studying chemistry because it is required for medicine and biology because it is preferred for medicine. I am studying maths because it is required for engineering and computer science. Im not sure wether or not to study physics for my fourth subject, as it is very difficult and im not sure if I can cope with the work load of maths and the 3 sciences. However saying that, maths and physics are my favourite subjects. But I was unable to study additional maths at my school for gcse because it was not available, so i may struggle with a level maths next year, and physics could add to that pressure. At gcse i am predicted to get an A/A* at maths and a AA at double award science. So basically my question is do i need a level physics to study engineering or computer science at university? I know its not required but it is preferred. Will i be at a disadvantage if i dont do it? Bear in mind that i am not entirely sure wether or not that i will do engineering or computer science. It depends on my results. All answers are welcome and i appreciate honest advice. Thank you :)

“I have three courses in mind that i would like to study at university, engineering(mechanical or else aerospace), medicine or else computer science.”

Then you take physics, chemistry and double maths.

No question. Any other combination would be insane.

“At gcse i am predicted to get an A/A* at maths and a AA at double award science.”

Ah…in that case you may as well stop worrying about the medicine requirements, I’m afraid. You’re not a strong enough candidate.

Question by yahoo user: Do you need to take calculus-based physics in order to succeed in the field of computer science?
Or can it just be regular physics? I’ve never taken physics in high school and regret it terribly, because now it would have been helpful to take calculus-based physics. I have taken 2 courses in calculus though.

Best answer:

Answer by donatus phedson mwambete
regular physics its not enough for computer science especially topic like logic gates then need physic for more understanding

Question by Hitenutada: Need a good clear coat for Fusion paint?
I’ve just painted plastic with Krylon fusion Mystic prism effect paint, and I tested it with Krylon acrylic clearcoat but it wrinkles up and ruins the paint job. Can anyone recommend a good clear coat for this paint? 10 points for something that works!

Best answer:

Answer by T. C. B
I have been doing paint and body work for about 22 years, and the best ting I can suggest is to let it dry COMPLETELY ( allow all of the solvents to escape, and try to use a low solvent high solids clearcoat. If I am correct, fusion aerosol is an enamel. You will need to find an enamel clearcoat I’m sure. I am not familiar with clearcoating over an enamel, but I know it’s available. You may be avble to find an enamel clearcoat in aerosol, but you will have to basically spray very light coats until you achieve coverage and then let it dry until you can apply a heavier coat to get the gloss you want. A heavy coat will let too much solvent attack on the undercoat.
