Question by Kemo: What is consciousness and what is reality? Is awareness the origin of perception, or the origin of existence?
Mystics like Jesus, Buddha, and Lao Tzu, as well as modern physics, seem to state that everything in existence is simply the motion of energy at different levels relative to each other, all being part of the whole. However, one pervading concept endures: the awareness of awareness, consciousness. Is this phenomenon the root of existence, or merely an effect of it? Why is everything in motion, if that is the case, instead of being at rest and therefore non-relational, or absolute (Nothingness)? Is reality the result of awareness, or is awareness the result of reality?

Awareness cannot exist without reality or existence. They are certainly intertwined, as awareness manifests itself at the very moment the existence has been created.

Question by ★Greed★: Do rhetorical ideas deny the existence of the universe..?
…and thus deny the true definition of God.

Therefore, one can only know God without religion or defining what god means. Thus, the universe is not self aware within the context of our thinking as it is neither a being nor a consciousness.

First of all, I’m in love with your question. Our thinking is what creates the universe of what we want it to be, it’s what philosophy is here for, to be filled with questions that aren’t really answered, but accepted as being there and filling the universe with more mystery and the answers may be out there, but to really know the existence of the universe, there are no answers to anything.

Question by the_ambusher: Why do religious folks believe their faith makes god’s existence absolutely true?
Faith may have nothing to do with absolute truth, It only opens the door to other beliefs. If your faith was absolute truth then you would have absolute proof, and that faith would be absolute fact not faith any longer. So what is the mystic about faith. Why is it held with such high feelings when faith does not in any way change any absolutes truths about anything. And sorry folks but this includes faith about god’s existence Just remember Beliefs are as good as it gets.

Question by : What is it with people trying to use “Physics and Science” to prove their Gods existence?
Especially the Laws of Thermodynamics… they are always so cocky about it, they think they understand them and yet they so obviously don’t.

I thought it was a central part of their beliefs that faith should be enough.
No1home2day

You could say it’s both.

Question by chrisp2424: What do you think about the idea of there being no death, existence just continuing in a circle?
Our consciousness affects our subatomic particles and by quantum physics we know that the particles can be anywhere at any given moment or spring up in multiple places at the same time and most likely in more dimensions.

So, wouldn’t it make sense that we are existing somewhere else at this very moment and when we die we just continue life in one of the places that we are already alive? Life just continues in these circles with there being no true death other than past things falling apart.

Does anyone believe this idea? If you don’t, why? If you do, then what is the point of all this?

PS. I’m not high, just bored. Don’t bother with the predictable jokes.
