Question by AlanaWally: What’s the difference between Fullmetal Alchemists and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood?
I’m watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and it looks like some fillers but then there are some new episodes. Is it just another part of Fullmetal Alchemist or is it separate.

Best answer:

Answer by Anthony Luciani
As I understand Brotherhood follows the original manga more closely. The first Fullmetal was a lot more original in the storyline.

Question by d_malfoy7: How does the punishment of the alchemists fit their crime in Dante’s Inferno?
The alchemists (falsifiers of metals) are covered in scabs that itch. They tear their own skin apart by scratching it. How does this punishment fit the crime?

Best answer:

Answer by r
Essentially, the traditional answer is that Alchemists corrupted God’s creations through their art. Therefore, their punishment is for their bodies to be corrupted into putrid, rotting hunks of flesh.

While this makes sense, I personally feel that the decomposition of flesh may also allude to the long term effects that Alchemists may have experienced. If one is, for example, working extensively with lead trying to turn it into gold, one may easily develop lesions that could become quite disgusting infections. An Alchemist’s experiments dealt with other caustic or carcinogenic elements (mercury, sulfur, and the like). I suspect that an alchemist would have looked like the ‘before’ pictures on a ProActive commercial. Hence Dante taking that image to the extreme. One would have seen the illness suffered by alchemists as a divine punishment in life. Why not carry over that apparent punishment to eternity.

will convert 206
82Pb into a nuclide of gold-79. You may use alpha particles, beta particles, positrons,
or protons. Write the nuclear equation to turn lead into gold.

Question by miramistletoe: What is the difference between Fullmetal Alchemist’s manga and anime edition?
I found that the storyline of it’s manga and anime edition is different…Is it true?

Best answer:

Answer by Black Winged Assassin
Yep, the storylines from the anime is different from the manga.

Square Enix wrote the script for FMA for the anime.

The creator created the video game and manga.

Fullmetal Alchemist was based off from a video game, except the heroine isn’t in there and so is a few other characters.

What’s also different between the anime and manga is that the manga has some new characters.

Could you describe Alchemist’s Fire better? Is it like Napalm or something?

EDIT: I do play DnD but I am not familiar with this spell.

EDIT EDIT: It sounds kinda like a Molotov Cocktail actually… And I’m not describing how one makes that.
