2) Things that cannot be explained in terms of the material, empirically verifiable world do not exist.

Best answer:

You need to study a bit of physics.

At the plank level the material, empirically verifiable world is what is looking like it doesn’t exist.

At least not outside of our perceptual conclusions.

Question by : The ancient alchemists dreamed of being able to turn lead into gold.?
The ancient alchemists dreamed of being able to turn lead into gold. By using lead-206 as the target
atom of a powerful accelerator, we can attain that dream in principle. Find a one-step process that
will convert 206
82Pb into a nuclide of gold-79. You may use alpha particles, beta particles, positrons,
or protons. Write the nuclear equation to turn lead into gold.

Question by boxman34234: How was the witch of Endor able to conjure Samuel?
Its in the Bible somewhere. It seems odd that a witch can conjure the spirit of a dead prophet.

Best answer:

Answer by Mel C
This is an example of how God can work through anyone, even witches of Endor or Kings of Babylon. If you go back and read it again, you will notice that she was scared as if she knew that this was real.

Question by boxman34234: How was the Witch of Endor able to conjure the spirit of Samuel?
From the Book of Samuel; at King Saul’s request, the witch of Endor conjures the spirit of the dead prophet Samuel. The spirit correctly predicts the death of Saul the next day. This strange episode seems like the Bible supports the occult?

Best answer:

Answer by Boris (AKA Bozo)
Honey, the men who wrote the bible believed in the occult, obviously.

OR old witchy was a great fake psychic like John Edward.

OR she was a ventriloquist (No kidding–it was done often!).

OR she staged a faux seance with the help of assistants to give the impression Samuel had returned.

Who knows?

Question by Alice.: Do you think I’ll still be able to get an A* in my science physics GCSE?
Our current subject is physics P1A. I got an A in biology and chemistry but that was because i had a diff teacher to my current, and I’m thinking physics will drag my grade down because we haven’t learnt anything! It’s been a month and I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. We have disruptive people in my class and the teacher isn’t organized. She gives us a sheet to work on and just gives us te answers without explanation. She also just tells us to do the questions in the book without explaining how it all works. During our IAA exam, whenever I was stuck shed just give us the answers (I ain’t complaining because I got an a because of her haha) but it seems like she can’t be bothered. When I ask her to explain she just gives an answer and has a go at me saying i havent been listening when in fact i HAVE! im the only person in class with the A’s and no way will i get distracted and drag my grade down. Even everyone else says they havent learnt anything too. and we are breaking up for Easter this week and I think I’ll have one science lesson after Easter until we leave for study leave. If I taught myself everything do you think I’ll he able to get an A*? my exam is in June btw.

Best answer:

Answer by aero
I’m in year 10 and because of the new course I have to do some GCSEs in June. Sciences, History and English.
I think you can still get an A* if you’re willing to work for it yourself. :)
If you want – I can go through things with you, we’ve finished the work and are just studying now. So if you want help email me. Though I do it through Welsh I can translate.

Best of luck. x

Question by 드래곤: How serious is getting a swollen brain from Behcet’s Disease? Will my brother be able to wake up?
How serious is getting a swollen brain from Behcet’s Disease? My brother had a swollen brain after vomiting/fainting out of nowhere. He got surgery and after, doctors purposely put his brain to sleep (induced coma? I think). Doctors found out that what he has is Bechet’s Disease. Is this disease serious? Will my brother be able to wake up? Will doctors wake him up?

Best answer:

Answer by when your up your up
Behçet’s disease is an autoimmune disease that results from damage to blood vessels throughout the body, particularly veins. In an autoimmune disease, the immune system attacks and harms the bodies’ own tissues. The exact cause of Behçet’s disease is unknown. Most symptoms of the disease are caused by vasculitis (an inflammation of the blood vessels). Inflammation is a characteristic reaction of the body to injury or disease and is marked by four signs: swelling, redness, heat, and pain. Doctors think that an autoimmune reaction may cause the blood vessels to become inflamed, but they do not know what triggers this reaction. Under normal conditions, the immune system protects the body from diseases and infections by killing harmful “foreign” substances, such as germs, that enter the body. In an autoimmune reaction, the immune system mistakenly attacks and harms the body’s own tissues. Behçet’s disease is not contagious; it is not spread from one person to another. Behçet’s disease affects each person differently. The four most common symptoms (as listed) are mouth sores, genital sores, inflammation inside of the eye, and skin problems. Inflammation inside of the eye (uveitis, retinitis, and iritis) occurs in more that half of those with Behçet’s disease and can cause blurred vision, pain, and redness. Other symptoms may include arthritis, blood clots, and inflammation in the central nervous system and digestive organs.

Question by Kasane Teto: How do I become able to play Mystic Melody in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for Gamecube?
I am trying to get to the lost Chao in the City Escape level (I know where it is) But when I get to the little old ruins, all I can do is look, and Sonic says, “Looks like some old ruins.” But it won’t let me play Mystic Melody! I can’t get to the Chao without it. Help?

Best answer:

Answer by Reddipants
To play Mystic Melody, you need to collect the level-up item for each individual character. Here’s what levels to find them in:

Sonic – Final Rush
Shadow – Final Chase

Tails – Hidden Base
Eggman – Sand Ocean

Knuckles – Wild Canyon
Rouge – Dry Lagoon

If you need help locating them, this site tells you how to get each one: although I find it more fun searching for them.

If you already have the Mystic Melody with Sonic and for some reason it’s just not letting you play, then it sounds like a problem with the game. Keep trying.
