Question by Bella: Which two books should I read from my Honors English summer reading list?
Hi! A while ago, I signed up for an Honors English class and today I was given a summer reading list for the class. These are the four books we get to choose from:
1.) Frankenstein by Mary Shelly
2.) Shane by Jack Schaefer
3.) The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
4.) Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
We have to choose two out of the four books to read and write an essay on from the list and I want to ask you which two you think are more interesting from experience. Thank you in advance!

Frankenstein and The Alchemist. They can be a little slow in some ways, but in other ways they will keep you on edge.
I didn’t enjoy Rebecca and I never read Shane.

“Frankenstein”, “The Alchemist”, and “Rebecca” are all very good. I haven’t read “Shane”. I think “Frankenstein” and “Rebecca” are a bit easier to understand than “The Alchemist”, but all in all they’re all good books to have to choose from.
