Question by bowmaster: Hmm a little confusion arises in this…?
EXO 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
ISA 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
ISA 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
ISA 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.
ISA 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
REV 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Then how did trinity pop up?
According to this pastor:
Few realize that the trinity doctrine that was adopted at the Council of Nicaea and thereafter molded into several Creeds (click creeds to go read), descends from Mystery Babylon via Greek philosophy in Plato’s theories, and from Jewish Gnosticism, not from the Bible. Yet the Catholics all teach, that if a person does not believe in the trinity doctrine of Mystery Babylon, that person can not be saved. According to them, you and I can not be saved unless we believe Greek philosophy and Jewish Gnosticism that has reinterpreted God different from how God identified himself. This is wrong. Jesus did not ordain philosophers or Gnostic mystics, he ordained Apostles to be the authorities of Church doctrine. One great difference between the Arians, the Trinity-arians, Greek Plato philosophy, Mystery Babylon, and the true Apostolic Christians, is the Oneness Monarchian Message.
All Pagan religions from the time of Babylon, have adopted in one form or another a trinity doctrine or a triad or trinity of gods. In Babylon it was Nimrod, Semiramas, and Tammuz; In Egypt it was Osiris, Isis, and Horus; within Israel pagan gnosticism it was Kether, Hokhmah, and Binah; In Plato’s philosophy it was the Unknown Father, Nous/Logos, and the world soul. But in Old Testament Judaism there was only One God, a numerical ONE. The difference between paganism and God’s people has always been the Oneness Monarchian Message reinforced by the First Commandment that prohibits any theory of a plurality.
In our study, we will use a few verses to give a flavor of the One God message, and then give a lot of quotes concerning the trinity message. The true Apostolic Church rejects all the decrees and creeds of the Councils. For this reason we reject the trinity doctrine because it is not in the Bible but in the Creeds of the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Our Creed of One God is plainly in the Bible, the Oneness Message.

(“Let us make man in OUR image”) won’t that be understood as:
The term “We” in the Bible and in the is the royal “We” – as an example when the king says, “We decree the following declaration, etc.” or, “We are not amused.” It does not indicate plural; rather it displays the highest position in the language. English, Persian, Hebrew, Arabic and many languages provide for the usage of “We” for the royal figure. It is helpful to note the same dignity is given to the person being spoken to in English. We say to someone, “You ARE my friend.” Yet the person is only one person standing there. Why did we say “ARE” instead of “IS”? The noun “you” is singular and should therefore be associated with a singular verb for the state of being, yet we say, “are.” The same is true for the speaker when referring to himself or herself. We say, “I am” and this is also in the royal plural, instead of saying, “I is.”

ALL unattributed BS. I”m going to go look for someone who knows how to have a true discussion.
The True Apostolic Church…okay now that just has to be the right answer, hidden for ages, known only to the chosen few, yeah, that sounds all great and wonderful.
What do you think? Answer below!
Good verses there!
How can 2 separate beings both be the First & the Last?!?
God is ONE.
Do you really think people will respond to that amount of religion?
Jesus IS The Great “I AM”! (His “Identity” is One Holy Compound Unit!)
The word “trinity” is never mentioned in the Bible, but the concept first arises in Genesis 1:26 (“Let us make man in OUR image”) and it appears throughout the rest of the Bible. For example, the Bible tells us in Genesis 1:1 that it was God who created the Heavens and the Earth. But in Colossians 1:16, the Bible tells us that Jesus created the Heavens and Earth. How is that possible? It doesn’t make any sense, unless you connect this claim with Genesis 1:26.
———————————————————————————
Well, I cannot deny that your explanation is plausible and that many have used it.
But you have to understand the claims Jesus made about himself. You have to understand that the Bible literally brimming over with text proving the divinity of Jesus. For example, Jesus claimed to be able to personally forgive sins (Mark 2) and the Jews knew that only God alone could do that.
In John 10:30, Jesus said that “I and the Father are one.” The Jews immediately tried to stone him for blasphemy (claiming to be God). They understood that he had claimed to be divine on many previous occasions.
The Gospel of John says that Jesus both “was with God” and “was God” at the same time. In John 20:28, doubting Thomas finally confesses the truth, when he calls Jesus “My God.” Due to the strict laws of Moses concerning blasphemy, Jesus and all of the apostles in the room were obligated to put Thomas to death for the blasphemy of calling a man God, unless that man truly was God.
Isaiah 9:6 tells us that we should call Jesus “Mighty God.” Titus 2:13 also tells us that Jesus is “Great God.” 1 John 5:20 says that Jesus is the “true God.” In Revelation 1:17-18, Jesus claims to be the Alpha and the Omega, which is a claim to deity for sure.
Isaiah 9:6 says “I alone am God and apart from me there is no savior.” This shows that if Jesus was not God, he would not have met the scriptural qualifications to be our savior.
Read the begining of Genesis, the Trinity was there, God said “Let us make man in OUR image”.
I do not believe in a three in one god, the trinity doctrine is one of the most self contradictory documents in the history of religion and theology.
At Christ’s baptism: “this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased”
During Christs suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane: “Father, take this cup from me”
During Christs suffering on the cross: “Father why hast thou forsaken me?”
John 17:11
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Acts 7: 55-56
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus estanding on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
Genesis 2:24
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
I believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I also believe we are all children of our Father.
Romans 8: 16-17
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
AND the hebrew word for God as used in the Old Testament, Elohim is a plural word. Look it up.
The word Trinity never appears in the Bible however the Trinity does
Gen 1v1Isiah 6v8 John 6v27,Ephesians 4v6,Heb 1v8 Acts 5v3-4, Matthew 28v19,2 cor 13v14 John 10v30 Jesus Speaking I and the Father are one.
The trinity arises from our finding that we are made of three parts, a trimorphic phenomenon. The first and deepest part (not easy to find but it does get found when a few veils are lifted and the gates of perception are opened up once again) is our own primordial consciousness and which is shared by all. It exists in an endless domain of utter beauty and where time does not move to encroach upon its encompass, and the world is not known of whilst there. This is why the wisest amongst the ancients millennia ago (who also knew it) said ‘Know Thy Self’, for we are the beginning and the end. And meaning the beginning and the end of Cognitive awareness. When you find it, which you will, then you will know and understand it. Priestcraft does not want you to know this, for they would lose all their power over you.
