Question by nicolee: Geocaching help anyone?
So, there are very few geocaches in my area that contain more than a log.
I want to change that.

I’m going to make most of mine a theme.
So far I’ve got:
– Beach
– Around the world
– Mystery (for example, everything in the container must be wrapped to make sure no one knows what it is, and if you take one, you put one back…you know how it goes)
– Tell the next person (I hoped to leave slips of paper for people to write something to tell the next person, for example: “Go enjoy a nice ice cream cone” or “Visit an old friend” or maybe something like “Look over your left shoulder”)
– Random

Here’s where you come in…
Any ideas as to what to put in the beach, around the world, mystery, and random caches?
I plan on getting Lock n Lock containers that I keep hearing about and do not have them yet. That way I know what size I should get when I know exactly what to put in them!

Really cute idea! I have some suggestions, some of them would require a rather large cache but I hope they help!

Beach – blow-up beach balls, those little umbrellas for drinks, toy sunglasses, stuff to make sandcastles (shovels, pails, etc. just as long as they’re small enough/cache is big enough), sunscreen, little plastic sandcastles

Around the world – chopsticks, plastic igloos, plastic pyramids, figurines of the Eiffle Tower, mabe little flags, little toy sombreros, oregami kits, just different items that represent different countries

Mystery – hmmm this one is more difficult. Maybe just buy wrapping paper and wrap a bunch of stuff (dolls, toy cars, small candles, small teddy bears, nail polish, etc) in it

Random – well anything really (: Dog collars/leashes from the dollar store since lots of people take their dogs geocaching with them, stickers, small teddy bears…just look through your house and find small things you don’t use anymore and put them in!

Also another theme I think would be cool is pool. You could put water wings, pool chairs, goggles, snorkles, nose plugs, those diving toys and stuff in it. And you can find all of it at the dollar store! Or maybe a sports, zoo, pirates, or music theme! For a music theme you could put like old CDs you don’t listen to anymore, plastic instruments and music note stickers!
