This list of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) firsts by year denotes pioneers in various endeavors organized chronologically. Openly LGBT people remain a demographic minority in most cultures. In areas that historically are not known for having (or being friendly to) LGBT people who do not remain closeted, a ‘first’ can make it easier for other openly LGBT persons to enter the field or for those who are closeted to come out. Openly LGBT people being visible in society affects societal attitudes toward homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgenderism on a wider level. One commonly cited example is Harvey Milk, the first openly gay person to be elected to political office in California, becoming the most visible LGBT politician in the world in the 1970s after decades of resistance to LGBT people by mainstream culture. Milk encouraged LGBT people to come out during his speeches. As a result of his work and assassination along with San Francisco mayor George Moscone, thousands of ordinary people did. In 2002, Milk was called ‘the most famous and most significantly open LGBT official ever elected in the United States’. – Donate – Thank you: meseed.com Visit: MeTee.com Our channel sponsor. – This channel is like the 5+ year running: www.youtube.com (has been named many different channel names over 5 years), but it’s not related. Sheela can’t resist not telling anyone so she decides to tell Phoolwati that she is about to become a mother-in-law. But Phoolwati accidentally tells Sonia, who tells Nagendra and eventually everyone knows. When Saraswati finds out, she tells Sheela that she has failed and Sheela can never become a mother-in-law. The show is an interesting comic tug-of-war between a saas and a bahu, carried over three generations. The story moves from the point of view of a bahu who wants to enjoy her new role as a saas, but her saas doesn’t allow her to move away from her role as a bahu.. Suppressed for years, now the bahu wants to give vent to all her stifled aspirations, and wants to do the same which her saas has been doing to her for years.. But the elder saas still sees to it that her bahu doesn’t get out of her control.. And so the story moves with the attacks and the counter attacks, all seen in a lighter perspective.. Will the bahu finally be able to fullfill her aspiration of becoming a saas; or she will ever remain a bahu??
