Watch in Fullscreen and HD… Here we have the return of the enlightened pup,macpup 511,based on lupu as a back end and with enlightenment as the desktop,this super speedy pup just bangs out refinement,and is so easy to use…download it now to see what it can do for you……nice…
@immandrew yup,no prob for netbooks,but run it live first from a stick to make sure your wireless device is supported
would this be ok for netbooks?
@SlowMotionFX it wil support some and yes you should be able to do a dial up
Does Macpup support Ubuntu programs eg. Wine? Can you set up a Dial Up connection?
? . . . . ?
@sneekylinux Yes sir I will.
Sneeky, what is your daily OS you use on your main computer?
@ctsfiddler ahh the bugger,first port of call is to re-do your network in puppy via barrys simple thing,this normally sorts it,by the way what wnd are you using??
i have an Acer Aspire netbook AOA150 and can’t for the life of me get wireless to work consistently with any puppy. sad cause i like puppy linux.
@ctsfiddler whats your wirless device??
i like puppy but i can’t keep a wireless connection with any edition.
nice review nice distro!
@llelectronics to true les
The best of e17 are the animated wallpapers and the filemanager which is a spatial file manager.
Almost the same techniques (from the outside at least) which KDE 4 uses but a lot lower ressource usage
Love Macpup. Actually gave them $5 bucks a year back. Says a lot when my poor ass donates money 🙂
@The0astrophysicist its a distro release mate,and if you go back through some of my older videos you will find several on installing said distro..
Another winner, used Macpup 3 for a while on my 733PIII 256Mb Ram laptop and felt great could even watch you on youtube but the iplayer still a no no. Using Iron my Windoze partition but sticking to Swiftfox on my #! 9.04 look forward to you next post, regards
Hi there, I guess you’re the ambassador of puppy linux here on youtube =) great vids..
I was wondering about 3 things: 1) Is it a distro or dev. release.. on distrowatch it said development ? I have an old laptop with 256 ram. And I want to try macpup…
2) Can you plz make a video on how to install macpup on the machine.. feels safer and more secure that way in my opinion..
Cheers
@sneekylinux Great! So you don’t even need a HDD?
I’m thinking of installing pup on a laptop who’se HDD died.
maby a Chakra 0.3 beta review ?
First time to try macpup, and I’m loving it 😀
only thing I didn’t like is the fonts. is there an easy way to make them prettier?
oh thanks for the review 😀 amazing as usual
Damn, it’s sexy. Does it have low system requirements like regular Puppy, or does it have higher system requirements?
Oh, and I have a request… Can you do a video on setting up sound on TinyCore? I followed the instructions on the TinyCore site, but couldn’t get it to work.
Cool SRware Iron.. Interesting.
Well done, sneeky… 🙂
Sure is a beauty, as always.
@TechnoL33T: there are some very good-looking puplets (Puppy Linux derivatives) around, but Macpup is always particularly elegant and you can do some really fancy stuff with the E17 settings and your choice of wallpapers. Just a beautiful thing to use..
@TechnoL33T well now you know there is,go on and give it a go..
