Question by ♦ Vacío ♦: If your consciousness is a certainty, then how do you gauge the consciousness of others?
Do you feel that you have a different level of consciousness compared to others? And do you feel people around you lack consciousness? Do you fear a world where only you have consciousness?

If in the future a robot starts to feel and doubt its own existence, does that mean that it has consciousness? How do you judge it. Does animals have the same consciousness as us?

hmm well, the idea is not uncommon that no one exists but ones own self and everyone else is a figment of their imagination.
they could be joking at times, but since the world can be seen through a person’s personal and specific psyche and not the people around them, its not hard to think up.

i dont know if a robot can think about its own existence, how do we know its not just a scenario that we’ve computed into it.

animals must have a consciousness but on a different level.
they might not be totally self aware like humans, but they are definetely of a higher consciousness than say a plant.
