Question by Joshua J: I have a out-coming debate about the pros and cons of cloning?
We have a debate and yet we haven’t got any good answers. Just tell the Advantages and Disadvantages. I will not tell in what side i am. because i want an answer from you guys that can support me. best answer gets 10points.pls also tell why?

i have only 1 pro and many cons.
pros: absolutely NOTHING
cons: science and religion conflict. (bible vs. scientific studies)
cloning is against God’s will. (God said “reproduce and bear good fruit”)
the clone has no soul.(because the original one has it) (Because it is made asexually)
The clone will have a hard time living life. (because of never-ending intrigues)

You don’t say what kind of cloning your speaking of. There are a number of different kinds, 1. reproductive cloning; 2. gene cloning, 3. therapeutic cloning, and cloning involved in tissue and organ engineering. There’s likely to be categories that DNA cloning would be well suited for beyond the one’s I’ve listed here. DNA nuclear transfer is one of the greatest scientific discoveries of our time.
I’m assuming that you are asking about human reproductive cloning. Pros and Cons, since no human beings have been cloned, so they say. We cannot know anything at all about the true nature of a human clone; thus, we cannot say one way or another if it is a good or bad thing to be doing. Nevertheless, we can look at human twin studies and the quantum physics relating to the very nature of consciousness, and suggest that as a true human clone matures, they and their genomic donor will eventually share the same body and consciousness, become one and the same person. This is likely the one best approach for extending the useful human life span and will open many new doors to such things as long distant space exploration and populating other worlds.
We cannot begin to master the universe until we have successfully mastered our own biology
Cons: The true nature of a human clone will likely destroy old traditions and religious ideas, replacing them with reality and truth.
