Question by Brock S: How much power does the ATI Radeon X3870 Over Clock Edition take up?
I am planning on building a computer and I’m considering this graphics card…But I need to know how much power it uses so I know how big of a power supply to buy.

  1. If you’re building this computer, and planning on overclocking the video and cpu – I would go with nothing less than a 700 Watt power supply.

  2. If you get a minimum of 650w, this should be enough, but I would go for a minimum of 800w, then should you wish to upgrade other components in the future, your PSU will be able to handle it.
