Question by nativebeauty22: God as consciousness?
Whatever is taking place in my mind, whatever I may be thinking, believing, feeling or sensing, the one thing I cannot doubt is consciousness. Consciousness is my only absolute, unquestionable truth. If the faculty of consciousness is God, then God is the truth.
The same applies to other people. The only thing I do not doubt about you is that you are conscious and have your own interior world of experience. I can doubt your physical form–indeed, modern physics tells me there is nothing really there, no material thing, that is. All that I perceive of you is a projection in my mind. I can doubt what you say. I can doubt your thoughts and feelings. But I do not doubt that “in there” is another conscious being like myself.
What are your opinions on this?
God is omniscient, all-knowing. So too, consciousness is the essence and source of all our knowing. It lies behind all understanding.
God is the creator. Everything in our world, everything we see, hear, taste, smell, and touch; every thought, feeling, fantasy, intimation, hope, and fear; it is all a form that consciousness has taken on. Everything has been created in consciousness from consciousness. I, the light of consciousness, am the creator.
way of thinking actually prevents us finding true peace of mind. We can become so busy worrying about whether or not we may be at peace in the future, or so busy being angry or resentful about what has stood in the way of peace in the past, we never have the chance to be at peace in the present
Mahmoud Levenstein, perhaps your fear of telling the truth of your lack of understanding the subject causes you to put me down. I believe this assumption is a fact. Cannot take something good, put the other person down, I see it happen all the time with my 5 year old cousins.

This is very philosophical and I don’t like it.

Its true!
I would say you have not taken a psychology class yet.
Experience/subjective
mass proven experience/objective
The faculty of consciousness is a gift from God, not God himself.
You have the ability to think and reason but you are not God.
We are all separated from God because humanity has offended him with the pain that we cause each other and the disrespect we show him.
But God loves us and sent his son to die on a cross (Jesus) So that our relationship with God could be restored.
Consciousness, like thinking, deciding, learning, perceiving, and remembering, are functions of the naturally made and evolved computer that you call your brain.
You can think of it like digestion is a function of the stomach and breathing is a function of the lungs.
Consciousness is a function, not a god.
you’rw 1 smart kid, i agree
Modern physics tells you? What about modern physics (I infer you mean the conglomerate knowledge of physics) says that your senses imply an immaterial surreality existent only in your mind? Whatever is taking place in your mind it is believing and feeling, not sensing or thinking.
You do not doubt that ‘the other’ could be unconscious? I really really think that my awareness is in you too but how can I know that since I am imprisoned? I can only know what is inside of these walls.
put down the crack pipe. Your “ideas” are presented in a disconnected manner. State your premises and derive conclusions logically. Otherwise, don’t waste my time. You fail.
The cosmic web and its relation to the human
neurons is astounding. According to the European
Southern Observatory (ESO), “All recent
computer-simulations of the early universe have
one prediction in common: the first large-scale
structures to form in the young universe are
long filaments connected at their ends in
‘nodes’. The models typically look like a
three-dimensional spider’s web, and resemble the
neural structure of a brain.” Now, astronomers
have actually detected a “universal web” – vast
filaments of hot gas tracing the web have been
“seen” in the current universe. Astronomers
using NASA’s X-ray satellite observatory,
Chandra, “viewed” the filaments stretching for
millions of light years through space, with one
passing through our own galaxy. Astronomers say
that the filamentary structures are so hot that
it would generally be invisible to optical,
infrared, and radio telescopes. These invisible
filaments are detected only because higher
density ordinary matter tends to accumulate and
condense in them – generating radiation which
can be measured by scientists to confirm their
existence in intergalactic space.
The visible galaxies in the universe are not
isolated and disconnected but are interwoven by
a filamentary web-like structure – which is the
invisible dark matter scaffolding of the
universe. The web-like structure is both a
signature feature of invisible dark matter and
magnetic plasma. The appearance of this web
bears an uncanny resemblance to a cross-section
of the brain.
But it is not only the morphology (i.e.
structural aspects) of the large scale structure
of the universe which is similar to the human
brain but also the physiology (i.e. the
functions). These filaments carry currents of
charged particles (ions) over large distances
that generate magnetic fields – similar to a
nerve fiber. And they form circuits, just like
the neural circuits in the brain.
The high degree of connectivity is what sets the
brain apart from an ordinary computer.
Connectivity is also apparent in the cosmic web.
Galaxies are formed when filaments pinch or
cross each other. A nexus of filaments
(including thousands of tiny filamentary
currents) will provide the connectivity for the
transfer of not only energy but information from
one galactic nucleus to another. This web-like
structure of filaments and vortexes is also
similar to the acupuncture meridian system –
which includes vortexes called “chakras”.
According to Dr David Tansely, “The seven major
chakras are formed at points where standing
lines of light (or meridians) cross each other
21 times. The 21 minor chakras are located at
points where the energy strands cross 14 times.”
These meridians are supported by probably
thousands of other smaller filamentary currents.
This provides a significant amount of
connectivity in our subtle bodies. Similar
filamentary currents in the large-scale
structure of the universe also provide a high
degree of connectivity in the “cosmic brain”.
Cosmic and planetary consciousness can have a
valid scientific basis once we realize that the
filaments and galaxies in space, and the
web-like structure of filaments and vortexes on
Earth, can encode information.

I will try to explain my stance on consciousness
I believe consciousness is broken down into three levels
the first two i call the physical and super-physical
the physical is the body the super-physical is the mind
they coexist separately but they cannot exist without each other
the mind exists separate from the body but it is very much attached to this material world when the body dies the mind ceases to operate
then we have the third level of consciousness which is the metaphysical
this is where god comes in this is the level of consciousness the human mind cannot understand
this is the source of the physical and super-physical it is the creator or the life force
all religious and atheistic people alike are aware of it in some sort of way but they don’t understand it so we argue about what to call it and what it is instead of trying to understand it
consciousness is the metaphysical force it runs through all conscious bodies and consciousness is one force i am just consciousness witnessing a reality from the perspective of my conscious body and the same for every other conscious body this explains why some people can have psychic and out of body experiences and recall past lives
