Question by 323 guy: Can hypnotherapy be useful for getting rid of constant, unpleasant thoughts?
I don’t know if I have an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but I have been having uncomfortable thoughts. These thoughts are very brief, because I do not allow them to stay in my mind. This is causing me stress. I am considering hypnotherapy. If I ask a hypnotherapist if he/she can help me, she’ll probably say yes, regardless of how he/she truly feels, just to make money.

Its really more of an art then a science. With that said, it effects everyone differently. For some it does wonders, for others it does nothing. You would have to try it to see if it works.

yes
go to a real therapist(psychologist or psychiatrist) as hypnotherapy may or may not help you.
I wouldn’t waste my money on it.
google this:intrusive thoughts
i have them sometimes, then one of my friends told me,she gets these horrible thoughts, she thought they were “premonitions” but nothing really happened.
so why the heck these bad thoughts keep coming back?
I know how you feel.See a therapist,that’s what i did.
I completely agree with your comment about them being greedy in general (not all are) but I do believe that you may be able to “push” those discomforting thoughts into the back of your unconscious mind through their help and treatment sessions, I have had very good experiences with this method, I would recommend giving it a shot, but do not seem to hopeless, or they will “rape” you of your money, trust me, I wish you the best of luck.
