Question by FreeSpirit: Healing by speaking with the body consciousness?
Did you ever consider to communicate with your body consciousness, speaking with it, telling it should not be afraid of illness, trying to convince it that the ailment is only a suggestion, a mental conviction in which it should not believe? Do you think this could be an approach that might work?

You unlock this door with the key of imagination.
Beyond it is another dimension- a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind.
You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas.
You’ve just crossed over into . . . the Twilight Zone.
What do you think? Answer below!
people say there is no such thing as ‘Mind over Matter’ yet i just moved a pencil from a to b.
My mind used matter (my hand) to move more matter (the pencil).
Whilst there is no compelling evidence to prove that you can communicate with your body consciousness, the fact that we have not unravelled the mechanics let alone the subtleties of consciousness yet tells us all bets are off for the moment.
Can I send a signal now from my mind telling the protein product p53 (guardian of the genome) to do it’s thing and protect me from cancer? Well mine and your mind does this every single second of every single day, it’s just that we are not conscious of the message.
So I think the question is, can we take control of the message. The jury is out on this one for now but Daniel Dennett writes fantastic books on the subject of consciousness and i advise reading this type of publication as opposed to say a magazine called ‘Healthy mind Healthy spirit’ which is great in it’s positive outlook and topical discussion but lacks the scientific structure you need to get to grips with this very good question.
In life, one has to hedge bets sometimes, I would hedge a bet that our state of mind i.e. our consciousness does play a pivotal role in self-healing and i think that things like Yoga and meditation will one day be scientifically proven to be very good for you indeed.
