Question by Emaleigh: What area of psychology should I go in to work with kids?
I want to open my own office for animal assisted therapy for mentally and physically disabled children also abused children and children in homes I hope to also be a therapist for them and either help them by my knowledge of psychology or through animals at the college I am looking that they have different options, behavioral neuroscience, cognitive, clinical, and social-personality what one should I look into?

Probably clinical psychology (if these are your only options). Developmental psychology would probably also be the most useful, if you were able to find it somewhere. Generally to have your own practice, and be a full-fledged psychologist, one needs to have a PhD.
Behavioural neuroscience and cognitive psychology deal with occurrences on a smaller scale. They would teach you what is happening in the brain — but not how you would behave to remedy someone’s unfortunate situation.
Clinical is the one that should probably teach your therapeutical approaches.
