Question by Lemz: Is there anyway to reconcile faith with reason? Do you think consciousness is matter or no.?
Can there be a synthesis between faith and reason? And also, what does anyone think the nature of consciousness is? Is consciousness considered material reactions in our brain or something that is immaterial and can exist past death? Just wondering on everyone’s thoughts.

Best answer:

Answer by Pat, or that Jesus guy
Yes, because it is reasonable to believe that when you have faith in God He changes your life and sets you free from the slavery to sin. Hallelujah! That way you don’t go to hell.

Question by illraxvional threxzom: Is there any religion or theory that believes human consciousnesses continues on-?
Inside a corpse after brain death? I’ve never heard of such a theory or idea. I think most people agree that cadavers have no consciousness at all and if consciousness continues after brain death, than it most be in some sorta spirit or ghost form. But is there any religious or paranormal theories about cadavers retaining consciousness at some level.
Athiest but does anybody believe that the afterlife happens within the corpse?
I’m agnostic. I just want to know if a religion exists that believes this idea or something similar to it.
I should have asked this question differently than I did. The actual question is ‘ Are their any religions or paranormal theories that consciousness continues within a corpse?
I will ask this question again in a different way. David D came close to answering it. So he will get best answer unless someone else changes their answer, or another person answers it properly.

Best answer:

Answer by i’m an atheist
almost every religion believes that there is an afterlife

there is no evidence of an afterlife.

I don’t believe in an afterlife. When we die, we simply cease to exist.

Question by Pocket Protecktor: Could it be that there is no Problem of Consciousness?
That consciousness is actually a very simple interplay between Sensation, Perception, and Memory?
Why do we humans want to imagine that there’s a deep, complicated answer with purpose and meaning built-in, when the evidence seems to indicate the opposite.? And by evidence, I mean that the chemical interactions that constitute life are no different than the chemical reactions that constitute inanimate matter.
Jaya copied and pasted that question of his and used it as an answer too. You’re blocked, pal.
Pushpa? Okay, that sounds like it has to be right.

Answer by John Ashtone
I didn’t realise there was.

So I totally concur that there is no problem of consciousness.

The answer to why do we exist, is

Children, nothing complicated at all.

I think, therefore I am.

Question by howlingengines: Is there an accepted agreement on how the egyptian pyramids were built?
What engineering techniques were used to both transport and align the stones.Same question applies to the central and south american ones.

Best answer:

Answer by WOAH, an MMORPG!
Yes. The pyramid blocks were hewn from quarries using stone and copper tools. There are examples of each stage of block extraction at existing ancient quarries. Granite was quarried using pounding stones of dolerite, some of which have been found laying about the quarries. The blocks were transported to the pyramid site from remote quarries using barges, and from local quarries using wooden sleds. The Egyptians did not use the wheel during the Pyramid Age, an invention that would have been of limited used on softer ground under heavy loads. The sleds were dragged manually, sometimes with the help of beasts of burden, over smoothed roads. Some of the existing pathways were equipped with transverse wooden beams to lend support to the sled. A lubricant may have been poured upon the road to reduce friction.

However, a few are still mysteries. One pyramid is built entirely out of limestone and The Pyramid of Giza is the only “Seven Anceient Wonders of the World” that is still standing. You can look it up on Wikipedia.

Hope I helped.

Question by B: Is there a possible “higher” brain state than just our consciousness?
Other animals don’t have the consciousness that our brains have. We as humans are considered to have evolved the most advanced brain type that we know of, while other animals vary in lesser degree. But is there a possibility that there is something even higher than consciousness? Is it possible, that in thousands of years, our brains will evolve into something beyond just being conscious? Weird question, I know, but I’m in one of those moods.. What do you think?

Best answer:

Answer by Obscurity
I would say if you think we are the smartest, most logical, most conscious and most evolved being in the universe then you really haven’t given it much thought. We not long ago prayed to statues believing they were gods the reason for our being, we were no smarter than dogs looking up to us as gods. But with time we gained knowledge and understanding and we grow more as humans. Animals can not do this I would say yes they do have a knowing of themselves and others like a dog knows you are its master and it follows you in order to get what it needs so it knows its place. So I believe weather it is God or alien it is more advanced logically, Creatively and Consciously than we as humans can ever be.

There is a greater being than us but what being that is I do not know.

Question by Eric: Hey, are there really only 51 episodes to Fullmetal Alchemist?
Hey guys, so I watched ‘the’ 51 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist. And I really loved it. Although I know that for Naruto when it ‘ended’ there was Naruto Shippuden. And when Hunter x Hunter ended, there were about 30 episodes after that, under a different name. Does Fullmetal Alchemist continue by any chance? I bloody love it and even though the ‘ending’ was spectacular would be nice if it continued. Even just fillers haha.

Best answer:

Answer by Red Blue
no it’s done at episode 51, but there is a movie that sums it up which you can find on youtube.

you should watch brotherhood though, it’s another retelling of the series based on the manga, it is almost the same as the first untill about episode 13, then it changes and the story turns out way different.
