Question by zapytanko: What’s a difference between mindfulness meditation and breath integration ?
also i understand that vipassanna meditation does not focus on observing emotions and body , just thoughts (and breath) – why ?
is it not more holistic to observe all 3 layers (thoughts, emtions and body) rather then just thoughts ?
Answer by stimpyandren41 Meditation is making the mind still. no observations at all. as the mind lets a thought in you gently push it away. Kind of like a room filled with monkeys. as you let the monkeys out there is more stillness. if the monkey comes back again… let him out. as you get more adept there will be less monkeys trying to get in. Breath-work is great… it gives you a focus to keep the mind still. Mindfulness meditation is Metta… sending out loving kindness to all beings. Vipassana is walking meditation or being aware of the moment, all that you are doing and what is happening around you; ie: how did you dress yourself left sock first or right? did you even notice?
Motivation to Lose Weight * Weight Loss Tips for Losing Weight Fast * What an honor, what a joy, so much peace… peace, like a deep pool Jump into the river of life— let it take you! Have you not paddled upstream long enough? Are your bones not weary from the resistance of what truly is? Yes, my friend— the river of life flows down. Your holy task is to release the oars, and let life take you! Enjoy the journey— smile when it’s impossible; be the light of life! Yes, look at the beauty all around [Upstream] is the way that our society would tell us to go: “Don’t be biological, don’t be spiritual! Buy things! Seek for your happiness outside of yourself! If you just keep going you will find it!” And yet, it always eludes us— when we chase after that which is outside of ourselves… But the mystic turns around [from society's wishes], releases the oars, and lets life take him, without fear— with a childlike glee, to see: what does the universe have in store for me? Yes, the mystical journey is an inward one. Reading about opinions, facts and knowledge is fun. But I believe that at this time you are saturated with the tools that you need, and now courage and faith are the only tools that you need for the remainder of this journey. Release the oars! Flow with life! Develop your own experience, and live in that truth forever… Remember, the kingdom of heaven is within you. Peace be with you, my friends— Peace be with you. OM Love, Dan .
