I have a phone thru the magic jack system (internet phone) and I want to know if there is a way of getting my number listed in the phone book? Does anyone know? :)

Probably not without cost. In most U.S. systems, the white pages of the local phone book lists local customers who have service with that company. You could pay them to list you in the book and they’d probably do it, but they’ll only list their own customers in the book for free.

I am ordering magic jack and seems they do not have a number for a live person. I want to cancel my current phone company and install magic jack, but then I have phone and alarm system in other rooms. Would the phone number magic jack assigns me work in other outlets in the house?

A friend of mine has it, and no it won’t work with your other outlets. It only works with your computers USB port. You can use it while someone else uses the land-line if you have a phone with more than one line. You actually dial the phone with a pad that will be displayed on your computer.

I’m planning on buying a magic jack, I make a lot of international calls and was wondering how much do they charge to make international calls.

I don’t know the answer to that. But I do know that if you are in another country your calls will be free. I had a friend who went to Lebanon and she used it from over there and called here as much as she wanted.
